Two small fleets of warships exited hyperspace on the outside of the commenor system. One set up on one route into and out of the system. The others set up on another route.

They were well out of range of the scanners and ships the planet had, but were within their parameters. The two Interdictor cruisers activated their gravity wells. That would keep ships from entering or leaving the system.

HDE wouldn't know that they were there until it was to late. The fleets were small, but would do their jobs. They set in to wait with all ships on Red alert.

"Report?" Croaked the disgruntled voice of Grand Imperator Weston, taking a long swallow from the glass of caf he held and rubbing his eyes.

"The Tholatin Drive Yards has commenced two blockades of our space," The Commander said calmly. "Pathetic battle groups, but it has been dragging convoys from hyperspace and is causing general disarray among the merchants who trade with us."

The man nodded, sighing.
"Keep tabs on them. I'm sure that a decision will be reached regarding this quickly."

"And then, sir?"

The Grand Imperator smiled.

"And then we have them leave."

Twelve Rapyir Starfighters broke off from their respective battlegroups. Six from each task force. They headed in from two directions to do a quick scan of Commenor.

The ships darted in towards the planet. Their agility making them the macth of Chiss clawcraft.

OOC: Sorry.

OOC: Kamon, if you're in scanning range of my ships, then you're definatly within range of my planetary scanners. You're also covering lots of time in your posts - no.

<HR>

"Sir... hostile starfighters approaching, Delta One Quadrant." The duty officer gave the sensor scan a quick look and nodded.
"Do it."
"Aye, sir."

The young officer reached down and flipped a switch, then spoke into his headset.

"Vanguards, this is Ground Control. You are authorized to engage and destroy enemy fighters at once."

There was an acknowledgement, and a group of TIE Defenders, four sqaudrons worth, slipped out of their launch bays and moved to cut off the Tholatin starfighters avenue of retreat...

Commander Tryvl looked at his scanners. He had bogeys on his six. That wasn't good. He called to his six fighters.

"Three and four, continue on for the scan. The rest of you, lets draw some of those fighters off. We don't want any fighting."

He then sent a similar message to the flight group that was coming towards the opposite side of the planet. They participated in the same procedure. Commander Tryvl hailed the LFX fighters.

"LFX fighters this is Commander Tryvl of the Tholatin Republic. We are not assaulting you. Break off, you have no justification for attacking us."

The officer nodded, a slight smile in his eye.
"Transmit to them to the maps of LFX Industrial Sovereign Space. Also transmit all the requests from the Man that Tholatin ships remove themselves from our space."

He sighed.

"Destroy those fighters. Immediatly."

Tryvly looked at the maps. They showed that the fighters were in LFX space. He replied back.

"Yes we know we are in your space, but we are simple recon fighters. What threat do we pose to your fleet?"

The fur recon fighters made it to their points and began their scans. They made them quick because of the threat from the LFX fighters. Tryvl called to his group.

"Fighters break. Split into pairs nd try and blast your way through the fighters. We can outmaneuver them with our fighters."

Tryvly began flying straight at the LFX fighters. His wingman followed suit. They began evasive maneuvers immediately.

Four dozen TIE Defenders of the Home Defence Corps fired dual payloads of concussion missiles at the oncoming starfighters, the pale red tails of those deadly warheads convering on the enemy craft...

When the LFX fighters had first started to cut off the Rapyir's, the fleets commander ordered the Nebulon B's to jump in and pick up their respective vessels.

Thus, when the missiles were launched, the Nebulon B's came out of hyperspace almost on top of them. Most of them hit the shields and damaged them. A few got through and took out three fighters. Two from Blocakde One's fighters, another from blockade two's.

The Nebulon B's opened fire on the enemy fighters. It was after all defense of their fighters. LFX had fired first. The Rapyir's moved into the hangar bays of the vessels.
