Banishing Darkness: The Beginning.

The Jedi Master, Nathaniel Somir, slowly climbed the steps of the Jedi Praxeum on Teya IV. He had chosen this place to begin his campaign against the Darkness. He had chosen this place to rid himself of the curse placed upon him by the one he once called Father.

He thought, as he climbed the steps, of all the things that the Sith Soul his father had implanted in his body had done. It caused a shiver to run up his spine. The entire time, he was there.. watching, but helpless to do anything. It was a nightmare. Until finally one of his students found him through the force and helped him to reach the light once more.

He had trapped the spirit for now, but it had to be banished once and for all. He could not do this alone. That is why he had asked some of the Jedi of the Rogue Order to come to this place and aid him in his quest. Some of them had already arrived. Hopefully, more would soon.

The more Jedi which stood together, the better their chances of complete success. It would be difficult, that much was certain, but it was more than possible. Ganner had shown him that much.

Finally, the Jedi Master reached the old council chambers. He stood silently in the center, a few of his students around him. His students.. it almost sounded foreign to him. He had come home, at long last, and he would make sure he stayed there.

He slowly looked to each student and finally spoke.

"Let us begin."

Let us begin.

Master Somir, a man nothing like her previous Master, Master Jiren, but an interesting Master to say the least.

Tall, serious, a man that had a great deal to teach. A man with a great deal of history behind him. Brava knew that much, she could see it in his eyes.

Eyes that were supposed to reveal nothing, did.

"Master Somir, it is good to see you once again. Your return has been eagerly anticipated."

Brava Hartlink bowed before her Master, the respect she had for the man was evidently clear.

The young Jedi Knight stood before his master. It was good to have him back once more. It was good to see him home. Now, however, they must deal with the task at hand. They must banish this spirit for all time from Nathaniel and free him once more.

Then, and only then, would his master be whole once more.

"Master Somir, it is good and right to see you once more. We shall assist you in any way we can to insure you are once more whole and complete. To make sure that you will always be Master Somir."

"I am glad you have come. I will surely need all the help I can get with what I am about to undertake. Let it be known, here and now, that this will not be easy and does involve risk to you all. If you wish to leave, I will not attempt to stop you."

Exiting for a side chamber, Nathaniel went to prepare himself. Slowly, but surely, he removed the armor of the Imperial Sovereign Protectors that he had worn since he had been taken over by this spirit. Garbing himself in his Jedi robes, he returned.

Standing before them once more, he bowed then rose.

"Shall we begin?"

"Since Master Somir has told me some of what will be involved, I shall take charge.. if it is ok with Master Somir."

After receiving a nod from his master, he turned to the others.

"What we will first is attempting to aid Master Somir in forcing the spirit from him. We will do this by focusing our minds to channel Master Somir's will. We must all be in tune with him as best as possible to aid in the process. He will mentally show us what to do."

He turned to each as he spoke.

"Once the spirit is from him we must band together to form a wall of light energy around him. We must trap the spirit in it and close the wall in. Kind of like squashing a bug in your hands, but mentally. Together, we should be able to combine enough energy to successfully destroy the spirit once and for all."

Turning back, he looked at the Padawan across from him.

"You will serve as a focal point, as will I. The others will channel their energies through us and together we will create the wall around the spirit. Your mind must be completely focused or all will be lost. Do you understand?"

The Jedi Knight silently awaited a response.

Brava's light blue eyes met the Jedi Knight's gaze just as he turned to look toward her direction.

The padawan did not answer at first, deciding to clear her thoughts before she gave any response, she wanted the Knight and the rest around her to know she was ready for whatever awaited them.

"Understood, I am ready," the padawan said simply.
