Regrad had been hoping the Calamarians would have gotten here first. He knew much of Jan, and was pleased that he was part of the coalition, but even so, sometimes a force of humans made him uneasy. To most Azguards, humans all looked alike, so socially the Azguards oft felt awkward.

But they were his allies, and as such he trusted them completely. The Tholotians were a primarily human force, but he trusted them fully too. Maybe it was pre-negotiation anxiety.

He signalled them back: "Good to see you too. My ships need to refule ater their trip, so they'll be making trips to and from the surface of Kessel. I've been here before, nice place."

He spread his forces out around the planet, Wondering how the planets' inhabitants were taking to all this.

"Yes I know, Sshrywok. Thank you." Joren carefully backed out of the old Kessel prison complex. The large and overbearing female Wookie shouted a farewell growl and then the huge prison doors slammed shut.

Joren turned back to his shuttle and glanced back at the two Mon Calamari guards that were always with him.

The Wookie, Sshrywok, was the new owner of the prison. She was part of a smuggling gang that had made the prison their base. Joren didn't mind their presence, they would have to be careful about what they did with a Coalition fleet parked in orbit, but Joren had made arrangements with her to take control of the world and leave her operation alone.

He cast a grin at the two guards and turned back to head to the shuttle.

He felt two strong flipper hands shove him from behind suddenly, and he was flung forward violently. He heard a blaster bolt sizzle behind him. He rolled forward and came up in a crouch, drawing his sidearm blaster and aimed forward.

He turned back to see the two Mon Calamari aiming at something ahead of him. He turned back to see three humans running straight at him, lifting their blasters.

Joren's eyes narrowed and he fired three times.

Pride of Calamari - Far side of Kessel

"Coalition forces, This is Chief of State Arden. Thank you for coming. I have the appropriate sheets to sign onboard my ship, we will be happy to accept your shuttles so we can get this done." Joren said, as soon as he came back onboard the ship.

The recent assassination attempt was not far from his mind. He already had a few suspects in mind as to who it could have been that had put those three up to it. Just more incentive to get these signings done.

Regrad was quick to comply. He wanted this over quickly: The longer they spent organizing the less time they had to do anything.

His ship deposited him neatly into the Pride of Mon Calamari, where he was quick to sign. He didn't even wait. Just a quick signinture and then he sat.

"Once the New Rebellion signs, that'll be it. Of course, we need to keep the details secret, so we should hold stewardship here for now." He said, nodding at the world below.

He felt better now that it was signed, like a great weight had been lifted. Soon, he reminded himself, it would all be over. This was a step closer.

Kamon was slow to the gun yet again. The Senate had been quite pesky about letting him take some of the fleet to Kessel for talks with this new faction that was forming from the Coalition. In the end they had agreed but it had taken a few more days than he would have liked.

After making flight arrangements, and leaving a message for his wife, he headed for the Castle's hangar. There, a shuttle was prepped and waiting for him. It would take him up to the missions flagship which in this case was a Saberie-class Battlecruiser. The Procurator to be exact. The other two vessels were the Tholatin-class Star Destroyers Maker and Invincible.

The shuttle was carrying another important person that would be coming along. Admiral Vega herself had volunteered to go with Kamon to Kessel so as to help this new Faction grow. Upon lift off, Admiral Vega began to go over the flight plan and some other things on her datapad. Kamon just stared out the window for a while.

They eventually made it to the Procurator which was sitting around on the outskirts of the system with the other two vessels and their fighters. After docking, Kamon and Vega exited the shuttle and made their way to the bridge where Vega immediately gave orders for them to go to hyperspace for a direct flight to Kessel. The fighters docked with their respective ships and the small force jumped to hyperspace.

The bridge crew was busy going about their respective duties and Vega was again studying her datapad. Kamon admired the womans ability to control a fleet and said nothing about her paying more attention to her datapad than the fleet. He spoke with the Captain for a moment before taking his leave. He made sure to have the Captain let him know when they were near to coming out of hyperspace. Kamon left the bridge and went to his room to sleep.

After a couple hours of needed sleep, his comlink beeped and he stirred from his slumber. Groggily grabbing it, he spoke. The voice that came back to him was that of the Captain and it told him that they were a few minutes from reversion. Kamon acknowledged that and stood up. Replacing his traditional Jedi robes with a more Princely garb, he clipped his lightsabers to his belt and headed out of the room.

It only took him a few minutes of walking and riding a turbolift to reach the now busy room. He noticed that Vega was not working on her datapad but instead was in an intense debate with the Captain. Kamon nodded to the guard just inside the door and walked over to the communications station. After reversion he would be sending a message to whoever was there.

A few moments after entering the bridge, he heard helm begin to countdown to reversion. Kamon braced himself against the communications officer's chair. The stars outside the viewport began to revert into thier normal pinpoints and Kamon braced himself just in case. As they finished the reversion he let go of the chair. The radar team immediately acknowledged the presence of the Azguards and Rebels. Kamon nodded his thanks and nodded to the communications officer who a momment later gave him the thumbs up.

"Greetings, Azguards and Rebels. This is Kamon Vondiranach onboard the Procurator. As you have requested one month ago that we come here, we have come. I have a small force with me, which is all I could get the Senate to let me have. May I ask where the Mon Cals are?"

Jan smiled as Mirax came onto the bridge.

"I believe the Mon Cals are on the other side of the planet, Kamon. They just broadcasted saying that they are ready to accept shuttles, and that they have the papers drawn up. Also, I am a bit surprised at your presence here, from our last meeting I did not think that the Tholatins would be involved in the new faction, that they would just be our allies. I am pleased to have you with us."

Jan turned to Mirax.

"You came just in time. The Mon Cals have asked for us to meet at Pride of Calamari, their Viscount Star Defender. You will find it is much easier to get lost on a Viscount Star Defender, as it is far bigger then a Haven Light Cruiser. Now we must go down to the hangar bay again. Do you know how to work communications, onboard a YT-1300 craft?"

"Yes."

"Excellent, you will be my co-pilot then. Captain, take us towards the other side of the planet. I only want five guards this time, I do not need to fear any of our allies, and we will not be in open areas anyway."

"Yes sir."

Justice went to full speed, while Jan and Mirax took the turbolift down to the hangar bay. Once they arrived, they walked over to Rover. They walked onboard and immediately launched.

"Captain, please take down your particale shields so that we may leave the vessel."

"Yes sir."

"Don't call me sir, call me Mirax."

"Yes Mirax. The shields are down."

Jan piloted them out of the hangar bay, and to the Pride of Calamari.

"Pride of Calamari, please drop your particale shields so that we may come aboard."

"The shields are down in section five."

"Thank you. We are on our way in."

Jan landed on the Pride of Calamari, where he and Mirax promptely got off, and walked to the office. The Azguards were already there, and had signed the papers.

"I would like you to meet my secretary, Mirax. She has come because she wanted to become involved in the diplomatic corps, so I figured I would bring her along, to show her some of the ropes. I believe the Tholatins will be landing soon."

Jan read the document, and then signed it, write below the signature of the Azguards.

Joren did not turn as Jan entered the room. Nor did he when Kamon entered a moment later.

"Sir," A voice said quietly from the low-volume comlink.

"Go ahead, Commander." He said, his voice low.

"We have secured the spice mines, the muster room, and the individual transports. It is all pretty much abandoned since the Smugglers Alliance cleared out during the Yuuzhan Vong war. We have captured a few people who decided to put up a fight, mostly bounty hunters, mercenaries and the like, we will have secured the area soon."

"Good. The personel from the Engineering Corps will be here in a few days, they will set up the garrison and hangars. Make sure there is enough of the atmosphere factories working." Joren said quietly.

"Yes sir. I have sent special forces teams to secure all of the atmosphere factories. They should report in within the hour. I will keep you updated."

"Good. Pride of Calamari out."

He looked out at the stars and the grey-black planet of Kessel, his hands clasped behind his back. He waited untill Jan had signed the document, before turning around to look at everyone gathered in the conference room onboard the Pride of Calamari.

"We are all here. I am afraid there are those in the Mon Calamari Senate who do not want this merger to take place. Very recently, I was attacked by three assassins on Kessel."

He paused, before casting a glance at Admirak Amer, who stood near the door.

"So many wish to step in the way of a good cause. It is sad."

He glanced at Natalie before continuing.

"In a galaxy of turmoil, only the most illogical things makes sense." He quoted.

"As this new force, it is our duty to spread justice, and order throughout our territories. While this Coalition has been primarily a military alliance, today we sign the documents which will extend this to econimic, political, and humanitarian initiatives, as well as military. We can succeed, and we can now have hope."

With a slight smile on his face, he leaned down and signed his name next to Regrad's, and Dondana's. It felt strange, he noted. It was as if one burden had been liften from him, and another settled down in it's place.

He stood up, the smile still on his face. He heard the applause as if standing a long way off, he felt happiness, but then the grim reality settled in. They were a far way off from their ultimate goal: facing the dark side.

Mon Calamari

A white and blue star, the insignia of the newly established Galactic Coalition faded out, to be replaced by the image of a young human woman.

The woman settled her papers in front of her, and set them down.

"Today, the long fractured Coalition of Lightside Factions announced their official merger this afternoon. All political, military, and economic support funds will be channeled into a single group. This merger came as a complete surprise to some, but it is generally being accepted by the populace of Coalition-held worlds."

She paused to glance down at her notes before continuing.

"It is rumored, that the Mon Calamari Republic's own Chief of State Joren Arden spearheaded this new action, aided by leaders of the New Rebellion and the Azgaurdian Galactic Military. We will bring you more updates on this as we receive the information.

"The newly promoted Fleet Admiral Joren Arden held a press conference earlier today."

The image of the news anchor faded out. A busy and crowded press room replaced her image, Joren Arden, dressed in the blue and white admiral's uniform, stood at the podium at the center of the room.

"...Admiral Arden, is it true the idea for this merge came from you?" A reporter asked.

Joren shook his head, "It came from multiple sources. But in my capacity as Chief of State, I was in charge of organizing the meeting." He replied.

"Did you agree with the decision for the three governments to combine?"

"Absolutely." He said.

"Admiral, is there anything you have to say for the Imperial and Coalition viewers?"

Joren leaned forward slightly, "Yes. To all the former citizens of the Azgaurdian Galactic Military, the New Rebellion, and the Mon Calamari Republic, you have my personal assurance as Supreme Commander of the Coalition Navy, that I will do everything in my power to keep you homes, lands, and lives safe. Be afraid no longer.

"To all the Imperial viewers, and the leaders of the Empire, know this: We will no longer stand by idily why you, your Star Destroyers, and your Stormtroopers muscle us around. You will no longer take our homes, or our lives at your will. We are no longer weak, fractured, or insignificant. You will know that we are no longer the prey. We are the hunters."

He paused, and a warm smile formed on his face.

"We are coming."

The image of the smiling Fleet Admiral faded out, to be replaced by the reporter.

"...in other news..."
