Leia nodded, as if in agreement.

"Yes..."

She turned to directly address Kahn and Amalia.

"I suppose you know why we are here today...?"

The Jedi Knight nodded solemnly, his attention focused on the three Padawans. Good Jedi, all of them. Skilled and part of the living Force.

The sun was rising on a new day, a day that could be filled with endless possibilities. Beings came into new life and became one with the Force all around the galaxy every second. The circle of life was always in motion, never stopping. Those that lived to see the sunrise might not live to see the onset of darkness. Or perhaps they would. It was all controlled by the Force, the energy that bound the inhabitants of the galaxy to one another in an inseperable bond.

As the Jedi Knight thought about all of this, he realized that it was time for some of them to take the next step towards their future; time for a new horizon to appear. He turned his gaze to Organa, nodding his answer.

"That I do, Master Organa."

Edit: I wasn't in an RPing mood when I first made my post, and I thought I should touch it up.

Just another day, yet different than any other day. Some days were good or either very good, some days were bad, other days were really bad, yet the sunrise always signified the same thing each day.

No matter what went on, or how your day went, you always had the sunrise to look back on. You always had the beginning of a brand new day to remember. The new day brought change, it brought rememberances of the day before and the events that had taken place the day before. The newest day brought acceptance, and most of all, it brought growth, knowledge. Knowledge that was carried on with you from one day into the next, learning more and more with each new day.

The sunrise was your start, and the sunset, well that was the end of your long day, and then your night came. The cycle would always be the same, but your days and your nights, somehow always different in some way.

Did she know why she was here? Indeed she did.

"Indeed I do, Master Leia."

She smiled, slowly glancing about at each person.

"Today is a day of growth, but so is any other day..."

What made today so different than normal though?...

"...Today however, this day of growth won't be felt by one, nor two, but by many. That sense of growth will not happen just at different times during this day, but that growth will happen here and now, all at once. It is a growth that will change your lives for the better....And with that growth comes challenge. A challange that will also be felt by all. Today will be something that we will always remember, and it is something that neither of you shall forget."

Though a simple answer of yes would have done, the Jedi Master had been in a talkative mood on this day.

Indeed it was a day to remember. A part of growth in the history of the Jedi. History was in the making with the Jedi here and now. The Jedi would grow today...

Leia's gaze returned to the three Jedi Padawans standing ever so attentively before her. She smiled, for she was about to be blunt, and it would probably surprise just about everyone standing here now.

"Many Jedi Padawans associate some some sort of test with the trials to become a Jedi Knight. And this is true, you all must ultimately undergo a test before you ascend a rank. But what you don't know, is when this test will occur, what will happen, and what your future will be because of it."

A solemn expression now dominated Leia's face, and her voice grew softer.

"The debate often arises among many that only you can determine what level of mastery you hold on the Force, that while you may not be as gifted as other Jedi, that you may still be just as masterful as the next Jedi. Others associate the ranks Padawan, Knight, Master, with a certain level of power that all Jedi of that rank share. This view is erroneous.

The first view is the correct one, and the one that I hope all of you will carry within you always. Maybe you do not think that I am in a place to judge the validity of such views, but..."

Leia trailed off, and shrugged. A few moments later, she picked up again, on a slightly different path of conversation.

"Keeping in mind what I have just said, and not only being honest to your fellow Jedi but to yourselves as well, which of you three Padawans believe that you have reached a point in your life as a Jedi that you are ready to be deemed a Jedi Knight, and hence pick up all of the honors, responsibilities, and other miscellaneous powers associated with such a title?"

Though she had been a Padawan for only a short while, Tomika was not yet sure she was ready to be a Knight, though being a Master is something she always wanted to be.

Tomi glances at the other two Padawans, waiting for them to speak before she does.

WT shuffles his feet and thinks hard. He didn't feel that he was ready to become a knight, though in the back of his mind he wondered if his size, or his inexperience made him think this.

He looked up at the other two Padawans, wondering what they were thinking. This certainly wasn't an easy question to answer, and he wondered if they where if they were having as hard a time as he was.

“I do, Master.”

Adrian’s voice surprised even himself, and for a moment he was taken aback, repulsed by the fact that he would make such a big decision - such a big commitment - with such a small amount of thought put into it. Yes, it was certainly rash. He had only spent a few seconds in contemplation, while the other two Padawans lay dormant and reserved in their thought, before making a decision that had the potential to change his life for ever.

No, scratch that.

That would change his life forever... How could he make that choice? And with so little preparation...

But isn’t this what you’ve been training for, all this time?

The thought seemed not his own, coming to the Padawan as unexpectedly as his response to Master Organa Solo’s question. He was surprised at himself once more.

But it made sense, when Adrian thought about it. Why else had he made the journey to Naboo with his brother Jordan, all that time ago? Why else had he started training under Master Kahn, even after Jordan had fallen? To heal the emotional wounds Jordan had left him with? To incubate at the Academy, staying locked away from the world and protected by its walls from all evil?

No. None of that. I became a Jedi to make sure that what happened to Jordan... didn’t happen to others. To ensure that other innocents weren’t punished. To keep the Dark Side at bay, and stop others from falling to it. To bring peace to the galaxy...

Those are the duties of a Jedi Knight.

And with that, it was all so simple.

Adrian bowed, realising his first answer was rather crude for such a ceremony. Enforced by his reasoning, he stepped forward once more.

“Master Organa Solo, I believe that I am ready for this. I would be honoured to join the ranks of the Jedi Knights.”

And the man smiled.

Kahn stood silently observing the Padawans, his face impassive as he listened to Adrian's answer. The Jedi was proud that his Padawan felt that he was ready to join the ranks of the Jedi Knights. He, too, believed that Adrian was ready. His Padawan had shown thoughtfullness, skill, and an accute interest in the well-being and care of living things. All were excellent traits for a Jedi to have.

The other Padawans appeared to be in thought, their faces deepened in concentration. Kahn knew that his was a big step. To go from Padawan to Master, from student to teacher. He had faith in all of their abilities; they just needed faith in themselves now.

Holding her head up high with confidence, Tomika speaks now.

"I feel as if I am as well.

Over the past few moments, I have thought about Mama, who as you know is a Sith Apprentice. During my last visit with her, I felt the darkness in her fading.

If my being a Knight and stronger in the Force will have any effect on an old Master's heart, I will gladly accept it, for Mama's sake of helping to become what she once was."

Amalia looked on in silence. She knew that each one of these padawans, or she believed rather, that they were all ready to become Jedi Knights. They had all worked hard, they were determined.

Training had not been easy, and even know as with change, they all were still here, trying their best, no matter what struggles or hardships came before them. All three were capable of anything, if they put their minds to it, and believed.
