It started to pour onto the two just as they had reached the gate leading to Kahn's front entrance of his house."
"Looks like we made it just in time!" She yelled over to him as they stepped safely under Kahn's roof.
The wind had suddenly begun to pick up, causing Hanna to shiver just slightly and she wrapped her arms around her. Kahn politely held the door open for her and she quikcly stepped inside.
A large smile drew to her lips as she glance around the main room of his house.
"I can remember being here not too long ago...."

Kahn smiled back, closing the door behind him as he entered the house. Having noticed the shiver, he moved a little bit closer to her.
"Hasn't changed much, as you can see. Would you like a blanket or something?"
Thunder boomed loudly behind them, causing both to jump for a moment. Lightning crackled in the distance.

She shivered again, partly due to the scare and partly because she was still cold.
"Yes, please, if you don't mind that is. I guess I have not got use to rain still. It does not rain much on Tatooine, it's always so hot."
She smiled, stepping into the room a little more.
"I can't believe you still have this place."
She was glad he still lived here actually, well, for her own private little reasons. Reasons that she just was not ready to share with Kahn yet.

Kahn had stepped into the hallway, grabbing a blanket from the closet. He stepped back in, gently wrapping the blanket around Hanna's shoulders.
"Where else would I live where I can have privacy and the beauty of nature all at once?"
He paused, frowning slightly.
"As for Tatooine...I remember what it's like there quite well. Rather unpleasant planet. If you ever wished to move, you could stay at my home for a bit until you were settled elsewhere, you know."
The Knight looked into her eyes, the frown replaced with a small smile as he felt happiness again at being with her.

Hanna took the blanket without hesitation, wrapping it around her as best she could.
"Thank You."
Her eyes always seemed to meet his at the exact moment she wanted them to.
She smiled lightly to his response, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes.
If I was to stay here, I'd want it to be for good.
Oh no! She had completely forgot that Kahn could read her thoughts. She blushed, embarrassed. She did not know what to say to him as she stared back at him in silence.

Kahn hadn't been intentionally reading Hanna's thoughts; he was usually careful to respect another's privacy. However, her thought had been so clear and direct that he picked it up immidiately. His face serious, he spoke softly.
"As would I, Hanna. I agree with you."
The Knight wasn't sure what to say next; he didn't want to offend Hanna again by moving too quickly. Instead, he waited for her to respond.

"I..."
She paused, trying to think her thoughts through. The two had been apart for some time now. Yet, she longed to become close once more.
"I don't know what I should do."
She could remember nights when she did stay here, in Kahn's guest room. It was nice. Even though it was not her home she always felt like it was home, like she was safe.
"I...I'd be in your way, Kahn."
She tried to make up some excuse, but she knew Kahn would only see through it.
Oh! Who was she kidding! She wanted to be in his future, not just in it, but to be his future!
"I.."

"You would never be in my way, Hanna. Never."
Deciding to trust his instincts once more, Kahn spoke, looking into her eyes. He took her hand in his.
"Hanna, I pledge myself to you."
It was not the conventional way of asking for one's hand in marriage; it was the simple Jedi way of saying that he loved her and wanted her in his life forever. If she replied back similarly, then it would signal acceptance and show that she felt the same. This was a Jedi's way of asking for marriage.

Shock rose into Hanna's face, she had not expected anything like this. She knew what it meant, but she was never so sure if she would ever be ready for something like this.
She'd loved before, before Kahn had come along, but she'd never loved anyone before so much as the way she loved Kahn.
Even when they had broken up, Hanna had not once looked another man's way. Never once because Kahn was all she saw within her heart, and her future.
She took a deep breath, looking down at his hand for a moment, deciding.
When she looked back up at him and into his eyes, she had her answer.
"...and I to you."

Kahn felt intense joy flood through him apon hearing Hanna's answer. He had always known in his heart that she was the only one he wanted to share his life with; even after they had been apart, the love he felt for her went untarnished. And now, finally, what he had been hoping and wishing for had finally come true. Leaning close to Hanna, he kissed her gently, still holding her hand.
