Alpha Ex Omega Pt. II: Trying Fate
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: For the purposes of this RP, the Arachne is a Dreadnought full of renegade Imperials, broken away from Palpatine's New Order after the destruction of the second Death Star... small time warlords. The Jedi may jump in now; you are free to work under the assumption you've been looking for the Dreadnought, or whatever scenario floats your boat.
Enjoy!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the Jedi beginning to comprehend Gash's small speach at Naboo, the former Sith was getting a few less death threats and assassination attempts.
A few less.
The man rubbed his bleary eyes as they glowed a redish hue. He looked at Garric, and seeing the boy looked equally tired, spoke.
"Garric... take a rest in your quarters. You need sleep."
'Yeah, well so do you, Gash!'
Jiren smiled softly at the young man. But he was only young yet... seventeen, at the most.
"Yes, but I am almost fourty, and with the Force to replenish my strength... you need rest. Go."
Garric's jaw dropped slightly as if he was beginning to argue, but then he just nodded.
"Good. You know where it is... sleep well. My mother would not want you becoming stunted or some such... go on, now."
'Thanks... and...'
The boy's face perked up, becoming slightly grateful before slackening back to the tired and pale facade it had become.
"Yes?"
'...thank you.'
"For?"
'Just... being you, Gash.'
Searthen chuckled.
"You're welcome. And stop calling me Gash- I'm Searthen. Now get out of here."
* * *
On board the renegade Imperial Dreadnought, the Arachne, Captain Jorus Balhad spoke quietly, as if mere silence would keep his ship undetected. He motioned to the Marauder Corvette on the display.
"Is that them?"
'Yes, sir.'
"Good... prepare for a strike on them. Turbolasers to the ready..."

***Danster both felt and heard the twang of maliciousness in Gash's speech***
You heard that Organa, as did I, let your senses guide you. Gash may have left the Sith, but he cannot be trusted. He is still riddled with anger and aggression, clouded his future is
***Danster left Organa's office, not waiting for a reply. He got onto his comm and order the Hangar Operators to ready his LAF-500 and a Squadron of X-Wings. Danster was impressed by their competence, and found the fighters all ready and with pilots when he finally got there.
The 12 X-Wings and 1 LAF-500 were soon skybound ready to pursure Gash's ship. Quite why, Danster was not sure, but he knew one thing, the force was ordering him to do it.
The Pilots had been well drilled, and within 5 minutes the fighters were hurtling through hyperspace following the trace left behind by Gash***

*A knock at the door of Organa's office, as Nomi stepped in. She stood straight now; she had lost her slouch. She bowed to the two masters*
"You sent for me, Master?"
OS: "You had a good rest, I trust?"
"Yes, thankyou, Master."
*She looked at Danster. He looked more worried than confused now. And Organa was the one looking ambiguous now. Nomi looked concerned. With the Force she could feel Gash a lot closer now, and his Force presence was stronger. She felt waves of warning through the Force, and thought at first that it was Gash sending warning, but it was not so. No, she could not fathom what was happening*
"Something else has happened, hasn't it?"

Leia seemed to twitch a little in her chair before she straightened to address Nomi.
"Gash was here, he left a message. He wishes our peace, for he is of the lightside now and growing in it every day. Danster does not believe him, and he's going to go after him. We can't let that happen.
I feel deep down that Gash speaks the truth, Danster in his own way just doesn't want to believe that. We must prevent him from doing something he will deeply regret later when the consequences of his actions come about."
Leia's comm lit up, and she immediately answered it.
"The outbound squad has answered our repeated hails, Danster is on the line now, though he warns now for long."
Leia sighed, only partly in relief.
"Good, put me through"
It took only a few seconds for the connection to go through, and Leia's voice suddenly picked up a hard edge to it.
"Danster, you have no right nor reasons whatsoever to even begin looking for where Gash went to. What you are doing violates just about every Jedi principle plus a few Gungan ones. Gash was telling the truth, and if you'd take a few minutes to actually listen to me and think about what you are currently doing, then you just might begin to believe it too. I must say that I wouldn't be so trusting of what I just heard had I not already known what I did, and felt it personally."
Leia waited tensely, but did direct her gaze to Nomi, then covered the comm pickup so that what she next said would not be picked up for anyone else to hear.
"If we can't talk some sense into him we may have a problem. A large problem. This will be a bit difficult due to the fact that only we felt Gash's earlier Force messages and so only we may completely be able to understand... and believe."
She let her attention fall back on the still silent comm, and she removed her hand.
"Danster..."

Re: Alpha Ex Omega Pt. II: Trying Fate

OOC NOTE: I was unclear on this, I know, and my mistake- this is taking place in the Outer Rim, near the Exocron system, very close to the rift the Aing-Tii monks (who will come into play later) call home. Sorry.
Gash gritted his teeth and cursed through them. Snapping his prosthetic arm's comm up to his face, he spoke rapidly into it.
"GARRIC! Garric, buddy, get up here... we're under attack."
'Wha-? Who?'
The boy sounded groggy. Wryly, in his mind, Gash commented to himself about the irony of the attack coming only when he sent his Lieutenant and most trusted friend to sleep...
"Rogue Imperials. The additional shield generators are up, and the extra turbolaser cannons are online... but they're scrambling fighters."
As the seriousness of the situation began to sink through the sleep-induced fog in Garric's mind, he nodded clearly.
'I'll be right down. Just hold on, eh?'
"Don't we always, kid?"
The transmission ended, as a loud clanking errupted. D31's relatively simple droid body, it seemed, was not at all accustomed to the violent tremmors going through the ship...
"DeeThree, you alright?"
Gash rushed over, helping the droid to his feet.
'Yes, yes. We're not going to survive this, you know... our ship is outgunning them, but we don't have near enough pilots to defeat them.'
"What?"
As a Sith, it would have been entirely likely that Gash would have exploded at this rather unwelcome revelation. As it was, he was thinking as clearly as one could with the ground shaking beneath them.
'You heard me. You told me to bring along only my best... and we lifted off before enough pilots could get aboard the ship.'
"Aww... you're kidding me, right? How long until you can get some more built?"
'At least a day... we've got 12 Cobras in construction right now, but they're no where near fit to fly.'
"How many fighters have we fielded?"
'Four.'
Four. Gash cursed his rotten luck...
"Wait... we have enough tractor beams... yes, that might work."
'What?'
"I want you to lock the two tractor beams onto the Dreadnought, and start orbiting around it. We can't drag it, but we should be able to rotate it."
'And then?'
Gash bit his lip.
"I don't know. But this way, at least, we'll have more time to think about what comes next......"
A droid called up to them in it's croaky, metallic voice.
'Tractor lock confirmed. We're moving... the Dreadnought seems to be spinning slowly. It's confused, at least; turbolaser fire is scattering.'
"Make sure the gunners keep pounding away. When and if their shields go down, I don't want them shooting to kill, though."
'Yes, sir.'
Gash exhaled, as the wheels in his mind began to turn... How in the force will we get out of this one...

***Danster took in Organa's comment, but chose not to act on it, despite a few objections from his fellow pilots. The force was willing him to pursue Gash, he was not going to ignore it for the sake of Organa's wish. He sent a quick reply before the fighters left for hyperspace***
Sorry Organa, but I must.

Things were quickly growing chaotic aboard the Arachne. Sickeningly chaotic... it was true what they said, the recruits the rogue Imperials got were not up to the caliber of those who had joined the original New Order.
"Damnit, keep focused! Continue firing! Disregard the spinning! I want those gunners firing in-"
'SIR!'
The young officer almost had to shout to make it over Balhad's frantic issuing of orders.
"Yes?"
'Sir, there seem to be twelve fighters, tentatively identified as X-Wings, bearing Gungan crests and broadcasting a Gungan identification code.'
"Damnit... as if this force-psycho Jiren wasn't enough...
* * *
On the Hermes, cooler heads were prevailing. Droid crews really were an excellent choice... they never lost control, Gash reflected, before snapping himself back to reality and accepting a datapad with a damage report on it.
"This is bad..."
'Gash?'
Garric rushed onto the bridge, still throwing on a black captain's vest and jogging over to Searthen.
'Gash- Searthen,' Garric corrected himself as Gash gave him a stern look. 'Whatever. It, uh... just got worse.'
He handed Gash another datacard, and the cyborg promptly pushed it into the datapad. His face paled, as he looked up to Garric.
"No... no... this..."
The man took a deep breath, trying his best to breathe out anxiety.
"... Danster... curse it all. How could he? Bah, it doesn't matter."
'What do we do?'
Garric looked concerned... Gash had suddenly began looking his age.
"Two things we don't do... we don't attack the Gugans, and we don't run... we can't anymore. Beyond that-"
He turned, facing the thin viewport again, staring at the battle outside and the 12 small X shaped specks just getting into the edge of the area.
"-We do whatever the situation calls for."

***Danster's eyes widened as he saw the massive structure of the Dreadnought. His eyes soon fell upon Gash's Marauder too. He was tempted to give the order to open fire on Gash immediatley, but his speech kept ringing through his head.***
Wings 4 and 5, keep your eyes on Gash's Marauder. Keep circling him, weapons charged and sheilds up. If he show any hostility toward you, call us and we shall open fire on him. The rest of you, follow my lead
***As the two designated fighters pulled away from the main pack in sychronized fashion, the rest of them followed behind Danster. Unsure of what he would do, he darted toward the Dreadnought, with only a few seconds to formulate a plan***

Re: Alpha Ex Omega Pt. II: Trying Fate
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Idiots. Sincerely idiots...' thought Captain Balhad. As if ten idiot little X-wings could possibly take on a Dreadnought... those gungans were every bit as stupid as they were cracked up to be. As another turbolaser blast lept out from his ship, he only smiled. The blast struck one of the X-wings squarely in the cockpit, blowing through it's energy shields as if they weren't even there, and severing the puny fighter in two at the point of impact. Now, there were only nine.
"Gungan Vessels, this is Captain Jorus Balhad of the Imperial Fleet... we can only assume from your actions that you are siding with this vagrant, Searthen Jiren. As such, we will, unfortunately, have to destroy you. Good day."
* * *
Gash Jiren's head spun as he heard the intercepted transmission, which was transformed into a cacauphony of shouts and pleas from the various droids on the deck.
'SIR! Damage reports, hull breach on the aft quarter, two turrets knocked out, and the shields are-'
'Incoming fighters engaging Imperials, meeting high resistance-'
'One more shot to the fore shields-'
'X wings taking fire-'
'Howlrunners-'
'Dreadnought-'
The croaking metallic words of the droids rang loudly in his ears. Perhaps it was the metal, refracting and reflecting the sounds back to him... perhaps it was his lack of rest for the past two weeks. Perhaps the blurred vision was accentuating the surreal, apparition-like appearance of this situation...
Or perhaps he was just sick to death of the fighting, the killing, the battles. The thrice-bedamned Sith and their bloody war, the infernal Jedi Knights and their endless crusade of peace. It all just ended up being killing anyway. Killing that begat more killing, that begat grudges like the one that had driven Gash to the dark side, that begat more killing, that begat quests for vengeance...
And you could moralize it all you wanted. It was all just killing.
Now, ya' gettin' the idea, Jiren.
Rakilik. Gash responded. You're always in my head, aren't you?
When it serves a purpose. Le'me show ya something.
* * *
When the bright light faded, Gash, or Searthen, rather... or whoever he was, was no longer on the bridge of the Hermes. He was in some sort of... garden. A nice garden.
A beautiful garden.
And who else, but Rakilik, strode out of a nearby bush. Exactly the way Gash remembered him.
"Why... am I here?"
'Why not?'
Gash scowled.
"Why do you Jedi always do that? Speak in riddles, answer questions with questions."
'Ya' so sure I'm a Jedi? Doesn't matta anyway. Yes, I do tend ta' do that. All the good Jedi do.'
"No they don't. That's ridiculous- knowledge is what separates us from animals."
The dark skinned man shook his head, and looked at Gash again, the many necklaces and cloaks swaying with him.
'No, it's not. Ya would like ta think it is... do you know what really does? A wolf, a vornskr, a Korriban Cat, even; they all kill only when they're attacked, or ta eat! But we humans, we aliens, we cursed sentients, we analyze things, and then we kill people for things we want. Just... things. Peace, love, friendship. They'a all just things, Jiren.'
"So, what exactly is your point?"
'That theya' not worth killin' for! Peace is only a fleeting thing, and the cost is only the lives that such peace would protect! It doesn't last- it has to be reinforced with more of the lives it is supposed to be protecting. Love, friendship are not worth the cost of even one life.'
"That's a cop out... I've got powers-"
'You're right, you do. Most Jedi and Sith even, could not hope hope to match them.'
"So you admit it. But if I shouldn't fight for peace, love, or friendship...?"
'Fight to save lives.'
Gash nodded- then stopped, looking curiously down at the man. Was it just him, or had he grown... shorter? And his accent, gone?
'Yes, yes. Took you long enough, it did.'
Jiren's eyes widened, as he stared at the man... thing. It was growing shorter by the second now, looking up at him and smiling. Smiling as his ears grew... and his hair became sparse and grey... and his head oblong... now only up to Gash's knee...
"YODA!"
The sprite smiled.
'Close you are, but not close enough. Yoda I am not... Rakili, I still am. Close to Rakilik, yes?'
"Yes..."
Gash had to physically stop himself from scratching his head. A sprite, or whatever species it was, like Yoda, disguising himself and... tutoring him? Guiding him?
"...but why decieve me?"
'When a Sith you were, judge each by their looks, you did. Think of me, what would you, hmph?'
"Very little, I suppose, when you put it that way."
'Hmph. My point, you see? So, know what has to be done, do you?'
"Yes."
'Good.'
* * *
Searthen took a sudden deep breath as the image faded, landing him back in the real world. The droids all seemed to be staring at him, probably surprised by his temporarily non-responsive state. Garric was looking curiously at him too.
'Sir... the X-Wings are still taking heavy fire... and our shields are failing under the Dreadnought's assult.'
'Report from the aft-'
'Turrets 1 through five report-'
'Howlrunners-'
"No."
The word, though spoken at a level as to only be audible, reached the audio sensors, be them ears or mechanical constructs, of every being in that room. A few droids tilted their heads, some glanced at each other, and Garric just stared at Gash.
'But-'
"NO."
'Sir, you-'
"NO."
A holo sprang up to Gash's left, attracting his momentary attention.
'Jiren, this is Captain Jorus Balhad, I suggest you-'
"No. Let this end."
In that one moment, the force flowed- no, rushed- through Gash like never before. Staring out the viewport at the gradually degrading numbers of warships, he just shook his head. He reached out through the force, expanding his sphere of influence over the battle. Gradually, he could feel the presence of all the pilots on board the Dreadnought, all of the gungan pilots, all the Imperial pilots. Suddenly, and without warning, the weapon systems of every fighter were ripped off, and flung into space. A sea of lasers, blasters, and concussion missiles floated away, endlessly drifting.
Then it was the Dreadnought's turn. In a flash, the power generator, and all but one of the auxilleries were destroyed utterly, leaving only enough power for life support and rudementary engine systems. Mental screams of confusion and fear sounded in Gash's mind, but were quieted as he sent forth a wave of calming energy.
"Captain Balhad, please leave the system immediately. You should have enough power for one hyperspace jump. Gungan fighters, there should be five spaces in the landing bay, and five docking ports on the underside of the ship, provided my TIE Banes stay out there. Please come aboard; I mean you no threat or harm."
With those few words, the transmission cut off, and Searthen Jiren collapsed to the floor, drenched in sweat and completely exausted from his actions. Once, he tried to push himself to his feet, but only fell again.
'Gash! Are you okay?'
Garric rushed over to the fallen warrior, rolling him onto his back to allow him to breath more easily.
"Not... not really... Garric..."
The former Sith smiled up at the boy slightly, before wheezing and coughing slightly.
"I don't think... I'm going to do that... anymore... The strain almost... killed me..."
'It's alright. What are we going to do about the gungans? Ambush?'
"NO! Nothing... of the sort... order all of the droids to... stand down. We are... surrendering."
Garric's eyes widened.
'But Gash... they'll KILL us... all of us!'
"Maybe. I'll... make sure... they don't kill... anyone but... me. Hopefully. Maybe... we'll get a... fair trial..."
And lying there, craning his neck to see the Dreadnought leave the system, Gash wondered just what was in store, next...

***Bemused at what had happened, Danster pointed his weaponless fighter toward the Corvette. He, and 4 other X-Wings took the offer of landing in the Hangar Bay. 2 of the X-Wings that landed had suffered damage and would need to stay in the Hangar Bay to get home. As Danster left his LAF-500, he knew that there was only one explanation for what had happened, Gash had no doubt used the force to rid the Gungan Ships of their weapons. He and the 4 other armed pilots headed to where Gash was. Once there, Danster spoke to the floored Gash***
I am afraid that I have to place you under arrest, you will not be detained, but the ship will be taken back to Naboo were you will be put before the Jedi. You may also be trialed by the Gungans for the destruction on the weapons systems of my fighters
***Danster dropped his formal voice then knelt beside Gash***
Do you need a hand? I've got a med kit here for what good it will do
***Danster took a packet from his pocket and showed the medkit to Gash. He was still unsure of how he felt about Gash, he wasn't best pleased about having his fighters ruined, but he did do the same to the Dreadnought.***
I'll leave it with you
***Danster headed to the Control Room and ordered the pilots inside to direct the ship back to Naboo under the escort of the 7 remaining X-Wings. He ordered the Howlrunners back into the ships hangars and told the remaining Banes to follow the ship back to Naboo
Within a few minutes, the Corvette was on its way through hyperspace, toward the place where Gash's fate would be decided***

Re: Alpha Ex Omega Pt. II: Trying Fate

Gash had snickered hollowly at Danster when he'd spoken about being trialed for the damage to his ships... he'd found the implication that it was his fault he'd maimed a group of ships which for all intents and purposes, were more than likely to attack him. Not to mention that it was the least of all his crimes.
And if he thought the prospect of a trial scared Gash Jiren...
He shook that thought away, lying in his personal cabin. The medpack which Danster had given him lay unused on the bedside table. A dunk in bacta would have been useful... but the unfortunate side effect it would have upon him would not quite be welcome. Namely, death, because of his allergy to the healing liquid.
And speaking, or thinking, rather, of death, it was for the first time that Searthen realized he was probably striding full tilt into death, right about now. To his own surprise, he wasn't afraid of that fact. It did aggrivate him slightly, though.
Rakili... what possible good can I be to anyone when I am executed at the hands of these Jedi? Gash called out into the force, in the direction of the man, or alien, rather, who'd become his mentor.
None. But die, you will not. Have faith in these Jedi, you should.
Why? You have the same opinion of them as me.
Be that as it may. Remember the Aing-Tii monks, do you?
Of course he did... they were the peculiar force using priests with a fascinating set of beliefs. Gash had spent two days there, before Danster's patrol had caught up with him.
Yes, I do.
Then remember, you must, their view of the force. The spectrum.
Yes, of course.
Then think. Though perhaps, not always right they are, the most just force you can choose to decide your future they be.
I... understand. Thank you.
Always here I am, Jiren. Only ask, you need.
Searthen settled back down. He would need his strength for his time on Naboo.

***Several hours passed before the Marauder Class Corvette exited hyperspace above Naboo.
Danster sent a transmission to the surface, ordering an armed escort be ready to take Gash to Otoh Gunga where he would probably be taken to a cell while what would happen to him was discussed amongst the Jedi and Gungans.
The workers in the Command Room began the landing process. Several minutes later the ship had landed on Otoh Gunga Landing Bay 6, in the forests near Otoh Gunga.

"What!?"
Leia abruptly stood up, sending her chair flying backwards and the sudden very uncharacteristic outburst causing the messenger to jump out of his boots. But he recovered his composure quickly, to his credit, and answered.
"Yes Ma'am. They just reached Otah Gunga five minutes ago"
Irritation clearly showed on Leia's face. But anger did not, she quickly neutralized it as it formed within her, and in this case it exited her in the form of pent up energy.
"And why did Danster take Gash to the Gungans, who have no business in this whatsoever? The Jedi, who this is really about, aren't even down there anymore, they're here!"
The aide looked uncomfortable.
"I don't know, Ma'am."
Leia scowled.
"He goes out of here without sanction from the Jedi or any party that this situation is associated to, most directly me, and then he doesn't even bring his unrighteously obtained and completely immoral reasons of which disobey the Jedi Code and any other oaths which dictate against such acts to the Gungans?"
Leia slammed a fist down onto the desk, rattling everything on the huge thing, which was quite a feat in itself, and she burst out from around the table, suddenly slipping completely back into composure.
"Send priority message to General Ceel himself. I want both Gash Jiren and Danster back here within the [ hour. Got that?"
The aide nodded, waited to take the message, which came out as such:
General Ceel, as to my current understandings, Danster is in Otah Gunga and preparing to take to the Gungan Council and youself a matter which concerns the Jedi specifically, and even more so me. I feel it my responsibility to request that you deny Danster an audience and send him and his problem, if you will, back to me. If you so desire to know what is going on, then I welcome your presence here if you would so wish to accompany our rogue Jedi Gunga and his prisoner back to Theed and the Jedi Temple. Danster has directly disobeyed the Jedi Code and you will find quite a few other dictates in his little outing to obtain his query. I cannot stress enough the importance of the decision you will make after reading this message, and I can only trust and hope that it is the right one. Please respond and take action immediately.
Leia stayed in her office just long enough to get the message out, then threw in on her secretarie's desk on the way out.
"Send that out. Immediately"
The aide nodded and within a few seconds, the message had been routed through Naboo communications to reach Ceel's personal comm, as Leia happened to have the priviledge of being able to contact.

"I'm afraid not. There's not much even I can do right now, at this exact moment..."

As she was still in the reception room of her office, she was still susceptible to it's workings, plus it was quite crowded at the moment, so still clutching whatever odd file she had been given, she motioned for Han to follow her, but remembered Nomi and turned to find her. Locating her, she got her attention.
"I'll be back later, you can either come or stay or do whatever, just stay informed"
She then strode out of the office and went a ways down the hall before she reached a depression in the hall with a grand window overlooking the Theed Palace and a few chairs. It made a nice little sitting area. She selected a chair and sat down in it, set her burdenly file in her lap, then clasped her hands on the file. Then she continued where she left off.
"No, I don't think that there is anything you can do right now except wait. I don't.... really think it is time to fill you in yet either, so that complicates things a little, and I do apologize for that.
I suppose you should stay close at hand and be attentive. Most anything could turn up now"
She smiled.

"i will do as you suggest, master. i'll hang around until this is over, or if you need me." Han said.
That may have been what he said, but inside, hans thoughts were conflicting.
What is going on here? Why is she being so secretive? Tis strange for a jedi not to reveal something, unless it is of utmost importance that no one except those specifically need to know. Han thought. Han wanted answers to these questions and more, but refused to ask Organa about it

***After a brief trip in a sub, then party had reached Otoh Gunga. Danster and the armed escort lead Jiren and his unknown associate to the High Council Room. Danster took a deep breath before addressing Ceel***
General Ceel, sir, may I introduce Gash Jiren, the notorious Sith. He claims to have converted, though what truth is in this statement I do not know. He came to Naboo with the news in a Marauder Corvette. I pursued him, feeling it as the will of the force, with a squadron of X-Wings where we engaged an Imperial Dreadnought. Gash then used a force trick to strip the weapons of all the Gungan fighters and the Imperial battleship. His Marauder Corvette is on the surface with the pilots locked inside.
What will you have me do, sir?

Gash, now healed at least to the degree he could walk, removed the hood on the brown robe he'd stolen from Ziost, revealing lochs of shoulder-lenth pure white hair. He smiled pleasantly, and bowed to the Gungan leader.
"I greet you, General Ceel... what the Jedi-Gunga Danster tells you is true. His capture into which I have willingly put myself has been most hospitable; he deserves congratulations for this, considering his obvious dislike and suspicion for me.
Gash motioned to the young man at his left.
"My partner is Garric Jiren- he has had nothing to do with actions you may hold me accountable for. I would request that in spite of my status as a willing prisoner, he be regarded as a guest.
"Though I question as to why we are here... I sense we are not where we should be. Why is this, for I trust the answer lies in you?"

*Ceel studied the "sith's" face. He really hated situations like this. You could never trust the words of a sith, or anyone who had once been a sith..Atleast not fully. There would always be suspicion*
"Remove his restraints Danster" *Ordered Ceel*
*Ceel raised his hand and motioned for Gash to take a seat*
*Ceel was not yet sure of what he was going to say. His first instinct was to set the prisoner adrift in the ocean. But he could not do that, it was not ethical. He had ordered it done to the Bathory Gang once, and they all survived anyway.*
"Watch him like a Hawk Danster. He shall be guarded at all times until he can fully be trusted. If he gives you any trouble you have my full support in disposing of him."
*Ceel stood up*
"You have your orders"
*He stepped down from the throne and retreated to his quarters to be alone...and thus left the story*

Yes, Ceel evidently doesn't wish for you to be detained or punished as of yet, so we will see the Jedi.
***Danster first released Garric's restraints before repeating the deed on Gash. He gave the two a gentle prod in the back to signal them to move. He lead them to the sub bay were they boarded a standard Bongo, and Danster took them through the core.
Going the short way, they reached Theed in a matter of minutes. Danster then marched them to the new Jedi Council building. The three boarded a lift and took them to the top floor were the Jedi Council was located. He typed in the code to open the door, making sure Gash didn't see.***
Garric, you wait out here, Gash, in you go
***Gash stepped into the Council Room, Danster followed 3 paces behind him Only Organa and Nomi were in the room***
Hi. I don't think you need an introduction

Leia was seated comfortably in her own Council seat, with Nomi standing off to the side between to other empty seats. As per her nature, hers was the first word let out into the open air.
"Gash Jiren, I presume" Leia said simply, and her gaze flicked to Garric.
"Brought a friend too, I see"
Leia nodded, once.
"Nice to meet you both, though the circumstances are pretty tight. Gash, might you mind introducing yourself and your companion in full to us and tell us exactly why you are here?"

Gash smiled as he removed his hood and sketched a slight bow to Leia, and Nomi. As his face came up, it became apparent just why he was called "Gash"... three horrific scars criss-crossed his face. His tanned skin matched the color of his new brown robes well, though... despite the rather ugly contrast his perfectly white hair made with it.
Garric, who entered behind him, was given a harsh look from Danster, who clearly was unimpressed at his orders not being followed. Gash only nodded to him, smiling tightly. The boy, who's appearance was strikingly similar to Gash's, was every bit as mischeivious as he'd been at that age.
"Leia... Nomi... Hello, and thank you for this most hospitible welcome. I am, yes, the man whom you know as "Gash Jiren". My true name, though, is Searthen Jiren. I request you address me as such; Gash is a name I have left behind, just as I have left behind the dark side."
He motioned to Garric, who now stood beside him.
"This is Garric Jiren. My young cousin... a loyal compatriot, and trustworthy friend. He is not here to be put through the same treatment as I. In the event of my incarceration, execution, or assassination, I entrust him to the Jedi. He is to be raised as one of you."
Searthen pretended to ignore the look that Garric gave him, and continued.
"Other than that... there is not much to tell. I have left the dark side, and the Sith. I have come, as a willing prisoner of Danster-"
Gash paused, noting a small twinge of anxiety, of some sort, as he mentioned Danster and his captivity. It appeared he'd hit upon a nerve... not surprising; hunting down someone who has admitted to posing no threat to you didn't seem very Jedi-like. But sometimes it was necessary to do what you had to to protect those who you care about...
"-who did only as he should have. He acted to protect those whom he cares about. I will accept any accusation against him as my doing, and bear any charge you could lay against him for his minor breaking of the Jedi code.
"As I was saying, I have come here to seek a judgement placed upon my head by you, the Jedi. A tribunal, I think, would be the best way to achieve this."

I understand completley that Garric is no to undergo the same treatment as you. You and him are different matters entierly, hence why I told him to stay outside.

*Nomi regarded Gash - Searthen and Garric with curiosity. It was the change from when she had last seen him that threw her completely. She was apprehensive about trusting him, after seeing his powers. She wanted to ask him, challenge him, why he wanted to change. But it was not her place. She remained silent, her hands clasped in the small of her back, faded into the background.*
*He glanced at her. She searched his eyes, but saw nothing. Not the malicious face, but she failed to see remorse either. She stretched out with the Force, but couldn't concerntrate enough to sense anything. She inwardly scowled at herself. Can't even sense someone like him...*
*But in the foremost part of her mind was Andur, her husband. She felt she had abandoned him to save her own life, and deeply regretted what she had done. This worry occupied her mind. Seeing him stand there, that sith, she longed to ask him what had happened after she had deserted him. She remained in her place, just hoping she would get a chance to talk to him later.*

The former Sith's red eyes sparkled slightly, as he tilted his head in a sign of curiosity, regarding Nomi, now. The woman who... no, he didn't even want to think about it anymore. The actions of him and his uncle were in the past; not something to draw him into despair now.
He'd sensed a searching feeling inside her. Gash's ability to sense the thoughts and feelings of others without even concentrating on doing so had become so strong in recent months- probably due to hisnew awareness of his Zabrak blood, as that species had amazing non-force-related mental capablitites- that sometimes, he didn't even realize he was doing it.
Just like hearing something, it was a natural type of sensory input to react from. So when he'd sensed it, the man had put two and two together.
"I am here, Nomi... because I have been hiding in a shell. And now it is broken." He said simply. Then he smiled thinly, and looked back to Leia, then Danster. Gash spoke quietly, to none of them in particular.
"It is your choice, of course. You could simply kill me- An adviseable and justifyable course of action, in fact."

"And fit of no Jedi under such circumstances as these"
Leia was silent for a while.
"We should summon the rest of the Jedi, but we'll have to meet in the Hall. This room is too small for such a meeting of scale. As from what can be seen here, no two or even three people can decide alone on what seems like such a controversial issue.
But I must stress... that killing Searthen is not an option for the Jedi. As is quite obvious, he presented nor currently presents any danger whatsoever to any besides the Sith, whom he has turned against"

I agree totally Organa, the death sentence is not an option for the Jedi. However it is for the numerous amount of societes that Gash had performed such heinious crimes against. The Gungan Council being one of them, and countless others.

Two Hours Later
Han had seemed rather pleasant, though his surperiors seemed displeased at his percieved eavedropping.
Startled, as it always seemed to happen, from his silent reflection, Gash looked again around the chamber. Circular, with ten rows of seats all around. It was small, as far as such chambers went; small enough for an intimate, important feel for such a tribunal, instead of it seeming like a pointless beaurocratic run-around.
The brilliant white walls made the situation seem almost like a dream world... though Searthen shook that away as Jedi began to file into the chamber. Padawans, knights and masters... all of them he saw enter, sitting in a chair at the back curve of the circular ground platform. At the back row of one block of seats sat Garric, looking thoroughly displeased.
Be calm, Garric. Do not worry.
The younger man's eyes snapped up to look at Gash as the words reached his mind. He nodded, before looking away again, observing the Jedi as they continued to enter.
At the very least, this was going to be interesting...

With a bright eager gaze, Damalis Skywalker entered into the tribunal chamber. Her first group thing as a padawan and she was not going to miss it. She'd debated whether to come here or not, of course, but finally her curiosity got the better of her. She'd simply never witnessed a tribunal before.
Of course, with Damalis, it just wasn't that easy of course. She wanted to go but didn't want to disgrace Organa in anyway shape or form, so she'd put definite consideration into her appearance. Which, translated into Damalis terms, meant she agonized over what to wear.
Black had been her first choice. Somber all purpose black that was really great if you had patent leather or a nice silk, but she'd heard this was for a former Sith and showing up dressed in all black seemed like a faux pau. So, if black was bad, lots of color had to be better. Which might not be the best course for a Jedi's thoughts, but well, Damalis wasn't even close to being a Jedi yet.
Colors colors, a whole rainbow of them. A nice well fitting vest that she made sure didn't show too much skin was striped much like a sight you only saw after a good rain. Red, orange, yellow, green, and finally blue. Over and over again until it ran out of fabric. Quite spiffy looking to this padawan. A matching skirt, that fit just a nicely as the vest, was stripped the same way and Damalis' only deviation was her ankle boots. They were a plain ole bright red.
She had her bright blond hair scraped back from her face with, of course, a rainbow striped headband that left the length of it cascading down her back. Thusly fortified, Damalis scampered into the chamber, found a place to park herself, slipping through the crowd with practiced ease on her heels. She had a momentary twinge when she saw alot of the padawans seemed to be wearing some nice discreet robes, which made her rethink her choice. Organa hadn't told her yet she had to wear anything like that but, if she was wrong wearing her rainbow today, she'd probably have to from now on.
Not a happy thought for Damalis but, if she had to go out with a bang before being stuck in robe land, she'd be quite happy with her rainbow.

Vonta stood at the tribunal. The place had the feeling of a church or a place of worship about it. All places that were jedi in nature were. Not a bad thing at all just a little too formal for her taste.
Allways one that is ready for battle. The brown haired women wore her shoulder length hair in pony tail. Dressed in her tan storm trooper armor and a hooded cloak she waits for the precedings to begin.
A young woman passes her. This was a person that stood out in a crowd. She wore rainbow colors in a place that demanded a somberer choice of clothing. Damalis Skywalker, another of the padawans reguarly on the training grounds. A pretty girl like that tends to stand out in your memory, whether you like it or not.
R5 stands at her side ever loyal and watch full of the surroundings. He was recording the procedings for future reference.

*Sas, a new padawan, decided after all to come. He had a few doubts about coming, but the news was all jedis. He did not care much for clothing, his family had been poor and hidden under the dark rule of slavery. That slavery was freed, but by the help of the Skywalkers. Of course, Tatoinee was still one of the worst places to be, but it was the home planet of Sas Do Bin.*
*Sas entered the tribal chamber, wearing a rare, long dragged robe. The hod overlapped his face a few inches down. The sleeves were rather large, as well. The bottom of the robe trailed Sas in his path, as a wedding gown. He was wearing the color brown, the usual for him. He did not know many people, the only one he recognized was OS, but there was also a strange women who had entered before him. Sas decided this was a good time to get to know some of his fellow jedis. Sas neared Damalis*

Leia blinked a few times and looked again at the growing group of Padawans. She was standing on the large raised dais at the head of the room, Danster stood next to her.
Looks like I really, really need to look into why their Jedi robes haven't been distrubuted to them by the Temple supply staff yet....
Leia couldn't help but smirk humorously at this. Damalis seemed to be attracting a lot of attention as well. Leia couldn't decide if it was the personality or the clothes.
But she had more important things to tend to. Now where was Gash? Her eyes roamed the room, but she did not see him. She half turned to lookat Danster, who was standing a few feet off to her side. She followed his intent gaze and true to form found Gash at the recieving end of the watchful stare. She spoke in a low voice, to Danster.
"I think it's about time our unlikely guest be directed up this way..."
Leia spoke of Gash and his travel companion.

The only difference was the Hapan war chest plate underneath his shirt. He wasn't totally sure why he had been called to come, but it seemed important, so he came. He walked over to a seat, near Damalis', and sat down. He wasn't sure if their were certain seats for everyone, but he saw other Padawans there, so he sat down.*

"Nice to meet you too, Sas." Damalis giggled lightly, wondering if that was the normal greeting around here. She might not get an full conversation for weeks if that kept happening.
Leaning back in her chair, she looked around, finally spotting Organa. Stopping herself just in time, Damalis kept from waving a hello, trying to curb her hyper tendencies at least for this tribunal. From the look she got, she had a feeling Organa was going to make sure someone some where got Damalis some robes of her own.
Well, at least the rainbow outfit got a nice spin before being retired for awhile. The less she got noticed the less she might get in trouble for it though. Folding her arms, Damalis tried to scrunch down a little in her seat, but being almost six foot, a little over that in her heels, was working against her here. Crossing her legs, she tried not to giggle at her own predicament and put all her concentration into being on her best behavior.

I'm right here, Organa.
He supposed it wasn't surprising that Leia couldn't find him considering the mass stampede of Jedi rushing into the room. To Gash's considerable surprise, some of them... a lot of them weren't in propper Jedi robes. One attractive young woman seemed to be some sort of walking fashion ad for all the tailors in the galaxy, considering the litany of colors displayed on her person...
Some of them, those who saw him, anyway, were filled with something between distain and ire for him. Others curiosity. Gash even sense a sizeable portion with a genuine will to do the right thing.
I hope they know what that is...I don't.
When he caught Leia's attention again, he motioned to the back row, where Garric sat. All alone, Gash noticed. Probably by choice.

*Everyone had settled and sat in their places by now. Nomi sat near the front. She wanted to take part in this 'discussion' as much as possible. The Jedi Masters sat right at the front, with Danster and Organa standing at the front, with Searthen still in his seat on the auditorium floor, not looking in the slightest bit intimidated by the sea of staring faces. Master Organa stepped forward.*
OS: "For those of you who don't know why we are here, this is Searthen Jiren." *She motioned towards him with her hand* "He has been a Sith for a long time, but he came to Naboo today to repent. It seems he wishes to leave the order of the Sith and become a Jedi. We are here to decide his fate."
*The crowd murmored in dissent at the strange situation. Master Danster raised his hands to hush them.*
DTG: "It is an unusual occurence, but we need to know what you think. Master Organa and I have discussed it ourselves, but we need to know what you think."
*Nomi stood up. She cleared her throat.*
"I am not sure we should believe or trust him."
*She took a slight pause to notice her Master's disapproving pursed lips, then carried on.*
"I saw Searthen a few days ago. He went under the name of Gash Jiren then. I sensed the Darkside in him. It was strong. I don't see how someone can suddenly turn like that."
*She remained standing for response.*

Gash stood slowly, not meeting eye contact with any of the Jedi directly. He exhaled slowly, calming himself and preparing to address the Jedi for the first time. Speaking quietly, so as not to startle or alarm, he carried the cultured accent of his voice to every part of the room with the force.
"I'm afraid that you may have misunderstood why I am here. This is not a tribunal to debate my enterance into the society of the Jedi; or to argue over whether or not to trust me."
His posture slackened visibly, perhaps a sign of his age. Or maybe just his weariness of making speaches...
"This is a tribunal to decide my fate. I put it in your hands at the advice of a very powerful Jedi whom I trust; do with it as you will. Ask me any questions you need to to make your decision; but whatever that decision may be, make it together."

*Amalia arrived rather late to the tribunal, dressed in formal Jedi attire. Though she wasn't quite sure if anyone seemed to notice her tardiness or not, if they did, they showed no such sign of it. She had contemplated on whether or not to come to this tribunal. She felt that it was not right for her to decide this man's fate, this man she knew nothing about nor never met. It didn't matter that he was a Sith and he was not like her, a Jedi. She had no right to decide this man's fate, because she lacked the knowledge to know anything about him. How was that fair to this man? Deciding one's fate is a very big thing and should be thought of with much thought and consideration. How could she decide what was right for him, when she had no thoughts of her own that dealt with him, he was, in essence, but a stranger to her, to choose his fate would be to judge him in a way, and that was something Amalia could not do, at least fairly anyway. Yet she found herself standing theire, staring at the man she knew very little about, and she had heard his words as he spoke them. After he had finished speaking, though she did not know what had made her do so, Amalia reached out with the force to communicate with this man.*
Your fate, in my opinion, should be decided upon by those who know you best here. To ask each Jedi here who stands before you, those who know very little of you, to decide your fate without proper knowledge and understanding of you does not seem quite fair on your part. Deciding someones fate is a very serious matter, and a very delicate one at that. Much thought and consideration must go into choosing one's fate, and yet you place your fate before us, expecting us to choose what we feel is right for you. Why? Why not seek such a fate by those who know you best here, rather than those who do not know you as well?
*She waited to see what he would say to her words.*

* * *

"You sent for me, Master?"
OS: "You had a good rest, I trust?"

* * *

Good day."
* * *
* * *
"Yes."
'Good.'
* * *

As requested, the armed escort was waiting. Danster went to Gash's quarters***

Leia paused and turned slowly to face Han. She smiled fretfully.
"I'm afraid not. There's not much even I can do right now, at this exact moment..."
Leia found her shoulder being tapped, and she half turned to recieve a thick file from somebody behind her.

"Is this a private conversation or can any one join in." she says as she seats her self. "Sas I know you I do not, my name is Vonta Horn." she offers Damalis her hand.

"Welcome back, Sas." Damalis smiled in her characteristic all out manner, then squeaked again when Vonta popped up on the other side of her. She giggled, before offering her hand to the other girl. "Damalis Skywalker. Pleased to meet you, Miss Horn." Turning, she peeked behind Sas, then poked him, not in the least bit shy herself. "Hey, why don't you go get the other fellow? He looks like a padawan too and we should all stick together. Besides, you talked to him already."

"I tend to agree, you are the only one that he has talked to. So it does make sense that you should be the one. "
"Wee beep." cypher beeps.
"Cypher agrees. So go get him." she uses her head to gesture in Gohans general direction.

Any time you're ready, Solo...

EDIT: sorry for editing, but for the last time, I'm in a chair on the floor of the room.

OOC: Nomi, I do not appreciate it much at all when my words are taken out of my mouth and put in yours. Write only what your character says and does, not the others, especially when the character who you are typing out without the person's permission is about to make a post of such importance. That should make you not do that even more.
