…"On the contrary, Tobal, I am here by choice. No assistance is needed."…
It was then that Tobal fully realized the emotions he had sensed from this man, and why they appeared so familiar.
… Despairing … Pain … Suffering …
The same feelings he had felt after the flight from his home. Days spent aboard a derelict shuttle, the knowledge that his people … His Family … had tried to kill him for being a … a witch … a Jedi … a Sith …a user of the Force. For simply living, they had hunted him like a common beast.
Tobal pursed his lips slightly in thought and remembrance, and hit the call button again.
“The memories, do they seem tangible now?”

This had caught him off guard.
How does he know of my memories?
"Er...yes. I guess you could say they do," Silus replied, "How do you know of my memories?"
Unless...
Something dawned upon Silus. He had heard that Jedi could sense the feelings of others.
"Are you..." his curiosity, which was usually low, he did not really care too much of others, aside from important business in the galaxy, "a...a Jedi?"
He waited.

"Are you...a...a Jedi?"
A Jedi? Tobal thought about that for a second. He supposed he was, everyone said he was... but deep down he often doubted this. Choosing instead to bury the feeling he often forgot about it, except for when something happened that questioned this seeming ... fact.
"Yes" he replied simply. "Yes, I am a Jedi."
Reaching over to the cloak controls, he disengaged it, allowing his ship to appear alongside the freighter.

Then that explains a few things.
The ships sensors picked up the small craft next to the ship. He waited a few seconds, thinking. He then replied.
"Why is it you ask me of my memories? My past is my own. I don't think it would be a consern of yours."
Silus leaned back in the chair. He wondered why a Jedi would want to ask him such things. He waited. Perhaps this person would tell him the purpose of these questions.

“Yes” Tobal admitted over the slight static of the com, “Your memories are your own. But” he continued, “It is the purpose of the Jedi to render assistance when needed. I would not have felt you while meditating if I was not meant to give aid.”

"So what are you suggesting?"
Why would this man, this Tobal, wish to aid me? I am certain that there are many others who are not much different.
Your heritage, a voice sounded in the back of his head.
Silus thought on this for a few moments, but quickly banished the thoughts away. He waited for the Jedi to speak, and hopefully leave. This didn't seem to be going anywhere.

“If you cannot control it, it will kill you” Tobal stated bluntly.

"What do you mean?" Silus asked. This man seemed to know something that perhaps he didn't. He waited for his response. His answers seemed to be quite broad, which only led to more questions.

“You doing things other people cannot do. Telekinetics and knowing something is about to happen are the two foremost signs…
… If you do not learn to control it, it will consume you...”
Tobal’s eyes were still half-closed, and he probed gently deeper into this man’s mind.
"Did you care for her?" he asked pointedly, while at the same time stimulating a memory.

"Yes...yes I did."
------------------------------------------------------------
He stood, a bit past the outskirts of the sitting, staring and thinking. It was serene here. Quiet. He smiled. He had spent his time here whenever he could get the chance.
He heard the sound of footsteps behind him. He turned, and smiled as he saw her coming toward him. Usually most slaves would have been killed before they even came close to here. But things had been changed for her, or at least that was as much as she and Silus could guess. Probably because of most of the things she was required to do here.
When she reached him, she jumped into his arms, and he embraced her. He kissed her, and then set her down. He his arm around her, as they walked, talking almost as if nothing around them existed.
------------------------------------------------------------
And then his memory floated back to that day, when he held her lifeless body. His anger grew again. He had found purpose then. That was gone now.
