Regrad was aboard his shuttle, after the succesful liberation of Hurok from the enemy. The planet was both stratiegically benificial and comfortable for the Azguardians, who love the snow, and caves, and the purity of the arctic.

But he felt that something was wrong. No sixth sense thing, no underlying feeling, not the legendary force, just the unstoppable feeling of trouble ahead.

The two pilots were chatting animatedly of the much anticipated Azguardian Tribal Cup, where the representatives of the six great tribes play a series of games and contests, from racing through the deep mountains, to wrestling a Grekkaback, which everyone new the Fire tribe always won, but this year the earth tribe was looking good.

But Regrad was still occupied by the foreboding feeling. It stayed with him all the way to azguard, where he returned to his home and brooded.

The presence, that must be it. The presence had helped him in the past, it would do so again. He closed his eyes, and walked over to where the candles of Yunos, each wik soaked in holy water before encased in wax, were kept, and lit one for meditation.

The presence was there. It was dark, it consumed light, but that was because it was weak. he had sensed it when the presence had first came to him. It needed to reside within him to survive, and it sat, nestled like a serpent, in his mind. it told him to go to The Sphere.

The Sphere was a nickname for the great holo-projector in the military HQ. He coulduse it, but the reason that it was in the HQ was because it was experimental. It actually HOOKED UP the mind to the holonet, downloading information. It worked on the theory that because the mind used electrical pulses to relay command and thoughts through the body, certain pulses of special frequency could 'download' thoughts straight into the minds' memory. Of corse, it was under wraps due to its' unstable nature, and how easily a virus could tamper with the mind.

But the Presence could not be refused. He called a military droid to take down a note: Military to be moved under the control of Carakh and that human, and of corse the other generals. It was night. He slipped out to Military Hq, using hissecurity clearance to get straight to the device. There were no guards, because Azguardians believe that if you wanted to do something so much, you might as well. this only works because when the gods made Azguardians, they said "I'm tired of all this depressing social and moral conflict, lets' make something happy for once"

Placing the helmet hook-up on his head, he activated the consol and opened up to the Presence.

He didnt feel uplifed, or saw crazy colours, or was fried with pain, or anything interesting, the Presence just opened all frequencies to his mind. O.K, so maybe it stung alittle.

Imagine someone telling you the entire history of the galaxy, every detail, every legend, story, everything. Now imagine it compressed into one second. NOW imagin it converted into electricity and jammed through your brain. Now grow seven feet tall, get weird hair, become gray, and have a pair of retractable fangs. That's pretty much what happened here. The galaxy was HUGE, I mean HUGE.

Now Azguardians figured that out already, but this was freakin' humongus!

Regrad calmly removed the helmet, walked out of the HQ, went home, looked at a map of the galaxy, watered a house fern, and vomited the instant he tried to think about some of the battles on record. Then he went to sleep, and was woken by Rolgards' witneses coming round with pamplets.

The next day, he proposed to the security council that he takes his four weeks off on a special holiday along the galaxy, allowing him to explore for the Azguardians alittle. They gave in, so long as he remain conspicuous. Besides, he would be back before the stardestroyer unit was completed that they were planning to build.

And so, in his personal B-wing, he took off into space, to see if it really was as bad as the holos said so. and to try so of those corndogs, they looked tasty. Oh, and to get some nice photos of him standing next to things. O.K, so for alot of things.
