Malice nodded to the dark lord.

*The fleet is near ready. As for our allies.........they have been notified. Now, let us see if they have the honor to show up*

Upon hearing Nathanial Somir's words, Malice turned to Sedriss.

*Let me try this*

Malice then turned to a communications tech.

*Open a channel with the Tetan lead ship*


*Tetan Republic, This is Overlord Malice Draclau. We will agree to your offer. But we will only give up Gaghrin and half of our fleet in return for Korriban and quick extermination of the enemy fleet*

Malice then had a coded message sent to the enemy fleet which was ready to attack them.

*You wish to have a truce. When not a mere 5 minutes ago you wished to destroy us? How can we know this truce is genuine?*


Malice now awaited for an answer out of both fleets. Truth be told, each of their adversaries would pose a threat and challenge to the dark circle. The sith were as well willing and able to fight against them.

Cage thought for a moment.

"We were merely following orders. However, we did not anticipate these particular circumstances. I have been given full authorization to reevaluate our orders. I beieve a truce is in both of our best interests. We intend to leave the system, but all I need is assurance your vessels will not fire on us" Cage said to the Sith Lord.

He signaled for the comm officer to mute the transmission.

"Alright, lower interdiction fields and go to battle stations. I want all vessels ready to head out of here. Give me an exit vector that takes us out of here, and around the Tetan fleets, lets give 'em a buzz as we go by" Cage said.

The Sovereignty ships suddenly banked to port and changed their course to the rear, on a vector that would take them along the length of the Tetan fleet and then out of the interdiction fields. From there they would enter hyperspace.

Malice heard the message and thought about it. Silence filling the command chamber on Khar Delba. After what seemed like eternity, Malice broke the silence. Sending yet another coded message to the ORS.

*Hmm agreed*

Malice got on the inner com linking him with TDC's fleet.

*Hear me loyal fighters of The Dark Circle. This is Overlord Draclau. The ORS will be leaving our sector. I want all ships to get into formation and prepare to engage the Tetan Republic*

Looking at Sedriss Malice nodded before sending a message to Nathanial.

*Our offer is withdrawn. Likewise we shall not accept your offer. We will however accept your heads showing you surrender to us*

Without waiting for a sign, the Tetan republic was now faced with an obstical. thousands of mines shot forth from the Khar Delba. Grinning as all the minds were shot towards the Tetan republic, Malice couldn't wait to start seeing the explosions.

*Activate the shield generator. I want all ships to follow up the mines and engage at will*

*Alright captain, have all capital ships charge their laser cannons. I want shields placed infront of the ships. Have all fighters deployed, but wait till the minds have hit their marks. we don't want our own ships triggering them*

From the other side of Khar Shian, the moon. A fleet appeared. The capital ships consisted of an ISD mkII, 4 VSDs, 4 Defender class destroyers, I interdictor. followed up by 3 Loronar class strike crusiers. The captial ships merely formed a line, with the striek cruisers infront and just below them. While in a screen formation infront of them was the fighters.

The leader of the Tetan Republic, it's public face as it were, spoke once more upon the comm channels.

"Malice Draclau, warrior of the Sith. So swiftly do you curtail your honor to save your miserable hide. The eyes of your people will not be closed to this action. I shall see to it that your dishonor this day, by breaking an agreement no more than five minutes after entering it, will live forever in the tomes of the Sith."

The alerts came in. Mines, and enemy ships, approaching. It was really no concern to Fearghail. The men on his ships were ready to die in battle. They were also the tactical favorite to win this war.

However, there were other cards to play. Other cards which the Jedi Master might not be as willing to play...

"You have exactly fifteen seconds to change your course of action, and your attitude towards me, or the sacred planet of Korriban will be laid waste to and utterly destroyed. My message leaves this vessel in fifteen seconds either way. Make your choice wisely."

The Dark Lord of the Sith watched as the mines plummeted towards the Tetan fleet. His mind drifted to Korriban, home of his father and scared land of the sith. His anger grew, spiraling out of control, threatening the life of all those near him, except the overlord.

If Korriban is attacked, I shall kill you myself. The blood of my family protects that shrine of the sith. I will eliminate the bloodline of your family from this universe. You will begin immediate surrender to all TDC forces or be destroyed. Do not tempt fate with me or you shall pay the severest of prices.

Fearghail chuckled into the comm unit, then spoke.

"You play games to which you do not know the rules, boy. It will be your very bloodline who destroys the sacred planet. It will be torn apart by the very heart of darkness itself. Do you honestly believe I could have risen to power so quickly without a few tricks of my own?"

The Tetan leader activated a holo-image, transmitting it to the Sith.

"This man, Tarnak Somir, was presumed dead by all, uncluding the man who supposedly killed him. However, he lives as does another of your bloodline. Tarnak now waits on the sacred planet for my message. If he recieves no message within twelve hours, he will destroy the planet utterly leaving only a hunk of rock behind with nothing to show for it's great history. If you do not bow to our demands, your entire family will fall before us. We can destroy you more easily than you believe, and have the power to reach anyone in this galaxy.. including the Former Dark Lord of the Sith."

The Tetan leader paused a moment, before continuing.

"I am a generous man, so I give you one more minute to decide the fate of not only your bloodline, but that of the sacred planets themselves, for Korriban will be only the first."

Malice listened to the man speak his longwinded speach. Malice cared not for his threats.

*Any sith would be foolish to destroy such a treasure to the darkside. And any sith stupid enough to try would suffer a fate worse then death. Come at us if you will. We will not back down*

Turning to Sedriss, Malice nodded.

*You handle it from here i shall make preparations for a present i have for them*

Looking at a crewman, Malice spoke with much anger.

*I want the planetary shield on at full power. If the mines are in place then have the fleet ready to advance. We will destroy these fools. Nothing stops the darkside*

Malice left the dark lord in the command station on Khar Delba. He was heading towards his meditation chambers. It was time for them to see the power of the darkside.

Fearghail departed the bridge for his personal quarters, which rested no more than twenty meters from the bridge itself. Once inside, he activated the long range communications console.

Kneeling, one leg raised with his hands clasped upon the knee, he spoke.

"Shadow Emperor, the infidels have declined your offer. What is your command?"

A dark sinister voice replied, as the holo-image of a man cloaked in utter black appeared.

"Then the test has been failed. It seems their machines of war are far more important to them than the sacred beliefs of their people."

The figure paused.

"Leave the system. Allow them to believe you are in retreat and let them recieve the rewards of cowardice and inneffectual leadership."

"As commanded, my Emperor."

The transmission cut, and Fearghail returned once more to the bridge.

"Take us home, commander. This meeting is over. Allow them to believe they have won. They will find this victory short lived."

Turning silently to his 'assistant' Fearghail spoke once more.

"Is Somir secured?"

"Yes, my Lord. The Ysalamiri will keep him from escaping. The cell itself has no escape."

"You have done well, my student."

ORS Fleet

"Mr. President, you received my report?" Cage asked the holographic representation of The Outer-Rim Sovereignty President

"Yes"

"What do you suggest?" Cage asked the President.

"Well, the Sith were our original target?"

"Yes sir, but something called 'The Tetan Republic' jumped into the system moments after us, and they issued a series of demands to the Dark Circle"

"And to you?"

"Told us to get lost, basicly"

"Indeed"

"Sir, when will our allies arrive? They were due to meet us here"

"Yes, I have spoken with them, and they have been en route. They should be arriving any moment"

"Do they know about recent events?"

"No. They are out of contact with us, so I guess they will find out when they get there"

""My orders?" Cage asked.




Cage walked back onto the bridge"

"Open a wide-ban frequency, on ORS Tactical"

"Channel open, Captain"

"Listen up, this is Captain Cage of the Defiant. I have new orders from the President.

"Change of plans..."

And one minute later, the entire ORS fleet halted their retreat away from the interdiction fields set up by the Tetan fleet. Every ship, including the now uncloaked Birds of Prey, executed a massive turn, and aimed directly for the rear of the Tetan formation.

As the ORS fleet had been exiting the system, they had passed close to the Tetan fleet. As they had retreated further, they had been directly behind the Tetans ships as they now were.

"Gravity wells are to go up, now!" Cage yelled into the comm, and to the captains of the five Sovereignty Interdictor-Class Cruisers.

Instantly, the interdiction field went up, preventing the Tetan Republic from leaving, as they were now caught between the Sith and Sovereignty fleets.

"Fire all missiles and torpedoes!" Cage said, over the fleet-wide comm, as he stood at the front of the bridge of the Defiant.

And the hundreds of concussion missiles that had been loaded into the tubes of the Sovereignty ships were lossed ahead of the Sovereignty attack, forming a screen of fire.

"All Birds of Prey, attack the Carriers only, leave the Star Destroyers alone. Vanguard formation, attack the Star Destroyers and fire at will" Cage ordered into the comm.
