The Victory II-class Star Destroyer Wrath dropped out of hyperspace next to the courier ship of the Syndicate Emperor, Lord Reaper.

Flanking the ships were the Wrath to port, and the Balmorra to starboard. Each of the nine hundred meter titans was bathed in a glossy steel shine, its hull as close to polished as it could get. Weapons had been lashed into parade hanging, all batteries facing fore that could, and all aft as able.

Aboard were the crewmen and officers of the Royal Balmorran Fleet. One day their fleet would be powerful; now, its pride consisted of a quartet of retrofitted and modified, yet still fairly old, Victory-class Star Destroyers.

Yaraan Admiral Vallus Arelius looked around the Destroyer's bridge at his crew, at the best Balmorra had to offer. The system itself yielded some twenty billion people, the primary world combined with the colony laden satellites. Many decades ago, floating cities, much like skyhooks, were launched and dubbed space stations, though they were monstrous in size...adding another billion total to the census.

The Admiral at least felt comfortable in his uniform...after all, he had designed it. There was a grey tunic, grey breeches, black jackboots, a silver sash, and black shoulder straps that supported a small, waist length cloak. The officers wore a similar ensemble, minus cloak, in blue. On their chests were medals and aigulettes, visible signs of bravery and valour, reinforcing the bond between commander and commanded. Theirs was an excellent combat machine, officers always at the front, eating, and bleeding, along with their men.

" Admiral! We have entered the system. Coming up on flanking vector."

" Excellent. Open a channel to...Lord Maim."

The Dark Lord sat in his command chair aboard his flagship, the Procurator. A grin lit his face as the three Victory Class Star Destroyers entered the system.

He motioned to his bridge commander.

"Charge the primary weapon."

A grin light his face.

"Perhaps our friend has more testicular fortitude than we thought."

Gazing at lines of light that resolved into pinpoints in the distance, Harbinger Force made its drop from hyperspace.
Appearing like a swarm, the Fleet of Executioner Sadow moved into position with his Dark Lords task force.
"Raise abloisher shields, keep them at full."
It was a mattter of responding to orders, not that Sadow felt any real danger with this much an armada.
"Open a chanel to Dark Lord Maims Flagship." commanded Sadow.

The commanders voice rang out.

"My Lord, Harbringer Force has arrived and raised it's abolisher fields. I have likewise done the same."

"Good, very good. Re-open a channel to Reaper."

"Channel open, sir."

The Dark Lord grinned.

"Well now Reaper, you seem to have made a threatening gesture. Perhaps you would like me to destroy your pathetic fleet just out of the offense I have taken in it?"

(OOC Note: Fleet damage in this thread is not official, since the ships Reaper have do not technically exist here. It is for Storyline purposes only.)

'OH!, my my Maim what a big fleet you have...such a wonder to see..' Reaper leaned slowly foward on his chair and looked at the vast fleet ahead of his 4 ships that posed little or no threat at all to Maim in anyway. 'Weapons Master, stand down all weapons aboard the Pillar Of Autumn and order my Underlord to do the same with his ships, this man will not threaten me and scare me...'

Reaper switched the channel back open again to Maim.

'Maim. take me if you will, destroy my people, crush my ships and burn my cities to me it makes little diffrence because to be frank i dont care, the very fact you float outside my border gives me reason to dispise you and your little man servent you have commanding your other fleet...'

Reaper sat back upon his chair and smiled slightly.

'Whatever you do to me Maim..you cannot kill me..as you know..im already dead...'

Evesdropping on the discussion between his Lord and the other, Sadow had been privy to the less then flattering description of his rank and abilities.
Frowning at the comment, he turned toward one of his senior officers and dispatched him with an order.

It would not do for people to go around speaking so poorly of Sadow and his master.

Moving into position with calculated precision, both the Dark Shard and her smaller sister, Dark Heart brought all of their weapons to bare on the lead Victory. Though no fire hailed from their cannons, swarms of TIE Advanced fighters swarmed from their bellies.
Like gnats or nerf flies, they swarmed around and toward the four opposing Star Destroyers. Though, they to held their fire.

A smile replaced the frown upon Sadows features, perhaps this would earn him the respect he deserved, or, at least put the captain of that vessel to rethinking his words.
But it was not enough.
Were excess could be spared, spare it in excess. One of the lessons of his predecessor.
"Order all other craft to surround and target the enemy ships. Lable the lead craft as Mark one, and assign them firing solutions in descending order. I want to be ready to reduce these inscets to ions, should the need occur."
"Have all gunnery officers stand by posts, have all ships raise sheilds and move into full offensive mode. Hold fire until my word."

In an impressive display of corordinated action, Harbinger Force closed around the four diminuative craft like the iron hand of the Sith.
Fully in battle status, it would take little or no provocation for the barrage to begin, and none of this opposing scum would survive.
Sadow would show that offence to the Sith was offence against the Dark Force and would not be tolerated.
Even if it did mean laying waste to this puny mans consortium.

Manservant, would he.

Now trapped by a screen of his ships, held at bay by interdiction and abolisher feilds, perhaps wiser words would follow.

'Manservent' Said Reaper over the comm again pushing a little bit more with a wide smile upon his face, his crew however stiring with worry. 'I trust you think a few squadrons of TIE's frighten me..you must be insane'

'Sir...Lord..they outnumber us 100 to 4 if not more-' Said an officer to Reapers left.

' Shut up Jerkal...this is a personal war it does not concern you..and NEVER question me' Said Reaper turning his head slowly towards his comm once again.

'Please Maim, continue with your fruitless assult upon me and my Underlord...it pleases me to see such bravery..a rare thing today.'

The Dark Lord grinned.

"If that is how you want to play it, Reaper."

Motioning with his right hand, he stated.

"You may fire when ready, admiral."

That said, the lancing energies of the Sovereign Class Star Destroyer's super laser cut across space and struck the Victory Class Star Destroyer Balmorra dead on. The blast circled outwards like a star going nova. The shattered fragments of the former ship skattered across space.

Sure, a few of his own fighters went with it.. but that was the price you pay.

Motioning with his hand again, the comm opened once more.

"I trust we have your attention now, Reaper?"

Through the triangular viewports aboard the Shards bridge, Sadow saw the Procurator swing around and obliterate one of the Victory Destroyers in one fell swoop.
Grinning, he followed his masters lead.
"Gunnery, open fire on that Nova-Cruiser. Disable, but do not destroy it."
"Order the Dark Heart about, bring her weapons to bare on the next Victory in line."
Smiling to himself, Sadow played the combat out in his mind. There was no hope for the opposition.


Like a massive wedge of space itself, the long slender black wedge of the Shard dwarfed the small ship she attacked. Measuring over six kilometers long, the Dark Shard could easily make short work of the smaller ship, but she was intent on only disabling her.
And so the Shard did.
As beams of coherant green light blew down first the shileds of the Nova, then began to chip away at her hull, the Dark Heart moved over the prow of her larger sister. Moving swiftly, the smaller Nemisis-Class Destroyer brought her guns to bare on one of the remaining Victories. She was followed by 6 Defender-Class Destroyers who had taken up her escort.
While the Shard continued to pummple the small Nova-cruiser, the Heart and her six escorts began to open fire.
Harried by fighters and the Dictator-Class Destroyer, the Nova-cruiser stood little hope, and indeed quickly fell prey to the impressive weaponry of the Shard.
The "Pillar", as transponders identified her, was soon left sitting helpless in the void.
Following suit, the Victory was swiftly falling prey to the precision attacks of both fighters and her seven attackers.
All the while, the rest of Harbinger Force moved into more defendable positions, readying firng solutions for the remaining craft.
