The plateau he had chosen was half a kilometer in diameter, and completely circular, it stuck out of the water, a high island, sticking 1 kilometer into the air. Janus had taken painstaking work to make the plateau completely flat. He stood there silently, contemplating his dark orbs, which he still had not mastered.
