I just saw a girl get hit by a car.

I was walking to my math class at IU and I heard breaks squeal and then this thud noise. I figured someone had just gotten rear-ended. But when I turn around there is a girl rolling down the street with her books and papers flying everywhere, and everyone starts running out into the street. It was really startling. I would've run out to try to help her but I figured I wouldn't be the person best suited to be administering first aid to this poor girl with a crowd of 20 some people around her. Plus I had to get to class. :glance

Pretty intense. I felt terrible for the girl. Hope she's alright.

I have a card in my wallet that says I'm fully trained to perform first aid on an injured person. Never actually had to use it, though.

I have a certificate. . .

Wouldn't want me giving mouth to mouth to anyone though.

Witnessing people getting knocked down and other assorted car accidents are always, unsettling . . .I've seen far too many.

I have friends who were coming home from a festival this weekend when a car in front of them, full of sobering festival-goers, flipped into a ditch, killing the passengers.

Scary stuff.

Festivals . . .one of my friends impaled himself on a stick while playing the drums on an upturned wheelie bin while listening to the darkness play at Leeds. . .he's still in York hospital as we speak getting de-septic-fied.

Leeds sounds like it was one hell of a hectic place this year, with riots and whatnot.

I unfortunately, unlike last year, didn't attend, opting instead to go to donnington earlier in the year.

My older brother (who just came back) has regailed me with tales of drunken loutery and smashing of car windows.

However the nastyness far outweighed the quality music on display.

I ran over someone once.

I got out of the car to see if he was dead, but he wasn't.

So I got back in the car and backed over him.

I don't like to leave things unfinished.

I hope she was all right, but these days it seems they can stop near-any injury from being fatal if they can get there in time. They being doctors and/or other medical experts.
