It does seem to glorify a uniformly Christian America. And it's awfully difficult to seperate the "good ol' days" from the racism that occured. The song may not glorify racism -- instead, it just minimizes it and ignores it. "Oh, yeah, those were great times. I mean, aside from segregation, but who cares about that? It's not a big deal." By extrapolation, racism is okay so long as we're all honest Bible-believers.
That's like saying that WWII was a great time in American history because of all the patriotism.
Drayson addressed this rather astutely.
a) Those were not actually referring to you, you'll notice, but your religion in general, which DOES use the indimidation of hell to spread its doctrine.
b) You have indeed told me that if I don't change my ways, I will go to hell. I'm not changing my ways. So, logically, when I die...
c) You have indeed ordered me to stop using certain words you find offensive.
d) You have indeed argued that your God hates homosexuality and that it is wrong. You have also mentioned that homosexuals will burn in hell.
e) I don't recall telling you that I watch porn. Now that you mention it, though...
You don't have to be screaming "DAMNATION UPON YOU HEATHEN SINNER". It's enough that you've said as much, and your statements merely echo those of people that ARE screaming it.
Grouping Canada and the United States into one category is very wrong indeed. I mean, everyone knows we're more corrupt -- what with letting the fags get married, taking away everyone's guns and making them pay taxes so that we can have health care. Communists! Get with the program, Kas!
The only way that the entire world could "head down the path of Rome" would be via the sort of warmongering we've seen from El Presedente down there in recent months. Warmongering I seem to recall you supported.
Well said Kas! Good argument!
Be sure to completely ignore that that was because society treated them as objects, stripped them of their right to equality, and kept them from working, though. Don't forget that one. But then, what can I say; a woman's place is in the home.
Great. So when can I expect to see those cheques distributed?
