Dragged too long? Even on Sith Lord rank the first time through the game went pretty quickly.
On easy or apprentice or whatever the rank is the game would be ridiculously quick. I don't know how short you want the game to be, if it was much shorter it would have been a huge let down.

It was shorter than Gears of War, and that was short, I thought. They could have expanded the story for another 10 missions, at least, if they had really wanted to!

I'm gonna be the thread necromancer. Just got the game for PC (the only gaming system I have), and I'm really frustrated with the mouse/keybord control, especially when trying to pull down the star destroyer. Lack of joysticks means trying to move my mouse to make the Destroyer go up or down, and by the time I get it close to level, I've got another wave of TIEs on me. By the time I finish the TIEs off, I'm back where I started.
Otherwise, great game, so far.

The end of Imperial Raxus Prime was hard enough on console the first time through. Going through it for the second and third time at Sith Master, the intervals between waves gets even shorter and narrows the "pull" area. I've spoken with one or two other PC gamers who played it to the end of Imperial Raxus Prime and ended up quitting there because of how "next to impossible" the said it was... so Good Luck!

I managed to do it, though it took me about six or seven waves after I closed it last night and retried today. Now I'm in the impossible Death Star.
Sticking with it, though.

And finished.
Great ending. Now why Lucas wouldn't focus on turning this into a movie, instead of making a cartoon TV show, I have no idea...
