I'm not sure how tax breaks for rich people combined with a national debt of some 8 trillion 371 billion etc. etc. is a good idea. Balanced budgets are the way to go. See Canada. Lowest unemployment in 35 years or so and one of the fastest growing economies in the G-8 over the past few years. And our national debt is shrinking rather than the reverse.

See?

And ambitious presidents can be good as long as they dont do anything stupid. When a taxi cab driver can predict the results of your actions better than you can you're one dumb president.

North Korea just wants attention. Iran and Syria are the ones we need to pay attention to.

*caughs* Marth, the tax breaks were for everyone. It seems like they were more for the rich because the rich make more money therefore the tax cuts affect them more. On the other hand, a poorer person makes less money and barely feels the effects of said tax cut.

As for unemployment, it isn't the President's job to create jobs. His job is to lead the country.

Part of leading the US means that the US remains strong meaning the US economy remains strong. Because if the US economy tanks then the standard of living is gone and then there would be nothing to lead because everybody would move to Canada. And without jobs there isn't much of an economy. Also while the unemployment was a handy statistic that happens to be in the news lately the point about economy growth(aka GDP growth) still remains.

Tell me. Is having a national debt about 9 times bigger than your revenue a good idea? No. That's not a sound decision. And the tax breaks haven't exactly panned out and helped the economy.

And my point about most people being able to predict the results of Iraq better than Bush still stands. Do you want to be lead by somebody who doesn't know what their doing? I don't.

I have to say I am most relieved.

As I read the title of this thread , for a horrific fleeting moment I thought I was going to see something I was going to regret for the rest of my life.
