Strange how just yesterday they were unsure of his execution date -- and then this morning, he gets the noose. I find it more than a little fucked up though that it had to happen on Eid al-Adha, of all days. Way to send out a message to all (Sunni) Muslims everywhere.
And on that note, Eid Mubarak, everyone.

All the people were dancing in the streets and singing, "Joy to the world, the Saddam is dead!"
Seriously though, wtf? America is much easier on tyrants.
The strange thing is; last night, while slumbering, I had this strange encounter, in the land of dreams, with Bush's Sr and Jr and Mr Ronald Ray-Gun Regan involving a three way handshake. End of an era, boys.

Oh well..
good riddance to bad rubbish in my opinion, although I still think that soldier who found him in that spider hole should've tossed a granade in there instead - would've saved the american taxpayer a couple thousand dollers in transportation fee's and medical care...

Justice for those who can afford it. Those who can't, or need us to foot the bill; Fuck 'Em.
Every goverment knows: Gotta be careful when executing a Tyrant or Dictator.
But if we're gonna go with the retrospective "should have done" thing here, then all I got's to say is that we'd have to go a fuck of a lot farther back then some Yank with a 'nade.

The United States has invaded a sovereign nation then put to death its legitimate ruler all semantics aside. This is exactly what happened. American revolutionaries executed outright British Loyalties during that war - a civil war by definition - yet no American Patriots were put to death afterwards. Truman was never indicted for placing the Japanese in Internment Camps nor was the Governor of Alabama put to death for the Rosewood Massacres.
I am only pointing out the Caprice of such a supposedly Just nation. DO NOT MISCONSTRUE THIS AS SUPPORT OF HUSSEIN, HE DID INDEED DESERVE TO DIE. However, what true opponent of democracy would I be if I did not say something?
