The Bard's Tale is alot of fun... it's all about the jokes and magic ... as the tag line says "in search of coin and cleavage!"

If this Archie just goes out and buys you games, he is a keeper. Probably helps, since if memory serves you're married or some such thing, but honestly - if he just buys you games? A keeper.

Oh, and the Bard's tale is indeed fun, although the actual gameplay can sometimes become quite secondary to the hilarity of the story.

well I figured he was a keeper long before he bought me any games :b the PS2 is a recent addiction to our collection of every growing possessions in proper American materialistic style, baby!

and we're engaged, so I sorta rent him with an option to buy :D

usually though he heads out to EBGames to pick himself up something new he wanted to try and ends up coming back with 75% of his purchases for me instead, so I can't complain :b

Truth. I'm finding it a little bit frustrating at times. Particularly the repetitive nature of this whole "find tower, go up 3 floors, fight guardian, fight way out of tower" cycle. I know the game is meant to satirize other RPGs, which do have that type of thing in them, but it feels like playing the same level over and over.

Alright, some of you mentioned having played or seen Final Fantasy X-2 before, but I really have to know how much of it you seen. Because I've gotten to the beginning of Chapter 3 and there's a few things... See, it's a rather normal, if insipid, FF game until you hit certain cut scenes. Let me name them:

1- The female villain gets onto the main characters ship and steals a broken sphere. During that cut scene after that thief, they repeatedly show the villain's nipple as she rocks back and forth in her videotaped message to the Gullwings. Much less that through the whole game, Yuna has to be so damned cold...

2 - Hot Springs cut scene. You don't see this one if you do the obvious thing and chase the Fem-Goon around the mountain, but if you follow the trail up another path, you find a hot springs where Yuna, Rikku and Paine decide they just HAVE to take a dip. Now, it's called the bikini cut scene, but as far as I can see, Rikku is the only one with a bathing suit, which actually covers more than her normal clothes. Yuna and Paine are wearing underwear it looks like. Anyways, for some reason, Rikku is inspired to crawl around and check out the other two's bodies under the water which then leads to a bikini/underwear water fight between the three. WTF?

3- Weirdest of them all... I kid you not, there is actually a mini-game within this one where your mission is to massage the female villain until she's satisfied. Now, it was weird enough to listen to this, as she moans and groans like a porn star through the whole thing and it's not recommended you play it if you live with your parents, but when the game is won and they have cut scene to end it, on my game, Yuna was fricken facing the wrong way. So instead of massaging Leblanc's back while the woman talked, Yuna had her hands all up in the blonde's ass. At least, I'm hoping my game had a flub and that's not how it's meant to be seen

Anyways, did anyone else get far enough into the game to see any of this??
