Archie went out today and bought me a bunch of games, so I was wondering if anyone had any comments for them, or the like. Hints and stuff.

They are:

Demon Stone

Orphen, Scion of Sorcery

The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers

Barbarian ((Which I must point out is made by a group called Titus))

DragonRage

Quidditch World Cup

Lord of the Rings is terrible... mind you, that's because it's a hack and slash game, and I don't care for hack and slash games. If those are your cup of tea, you'll probably enjoy it... they did a pretty good job of working it in with the movie.

The Final Fantasy games are fun. You should get those.

I've got a bunch of those, Anoan :) and I prefer RPG's myself, but Archie is cool with Hack and Slash... plus we have alot of the movie stuff now, it just adds to the collection

Demon Stone, if it's the one I think where you have the warrior, thief and mage is alright. Short though. I tended to use the mage a lot, since he has area based attacks... so build him up. He's cool. :) Oh, and use the thief's invisible attack, by standing in the shadows and zipping out, doing a one hit kill, then ducking back into the shadows. Try and level her up so you don't lose invisibility once you attack.

Other than that... heh, have fun.

Ok, recent additions to our collection are:

Soul Caliber 2
Final Fantasy X-2
Dark Alliance (Baldur's Gate)
Chaos Legion
The Bard's Tale
Shinobi

There's no sense in me playing Soul Caliber since Archie has all the moves imprinted on his brain since the arcade games of the 80's but I'm liking Final Fantasy and The Bard's Tale. Although, I'm not sure I like this whole GarmentGrid thing FF is using instead of the G-Forces...

hmm....only one I have played that you have listed is DragonRage....which being the fun of just flying around chewing on orcs and whatnot is not that good.

At first I thought I had Dark Alliance as well, but then remembered I had Dark Alliance '2', which I have yet to complete.

Two Towers is kind of nice realistic wise and has good graphics for a PS2 game, although a little hard for me, even on easy. I never got past the Fellowship movie parts.

My friend owns a PS2, he owns all the Grand Theft games, some SOCOM and NAVY SEALs type games, and of course, Wrestling Games. I like them because of the wide variety of characters you can create. Too bad they don't have that kind of a character creation for RPG games.

Soul Calibur 2 is an excellent fighting game. One of the best on the market IMO.

FFX-2 is an insulting sin to the FF series (and yes, I have played it until I got fed up)

Other than that I don't know many of those games and can't say any more than has already been said.

I have heard that The Bard's Tale is a lot of fun, and Soul Calibur 2 is always good for a bit of mindless competitive violence.
