Greedy. Should've given that computer to the 'Needy Irtars' society.

Welcome to the world of the super-powered. Suggest you refer to that other Braggity thread for mine stats.

Nice Motherboardish and smoke-ity CPU. 4000+

Edit: That system must have cost you well over 2grand. The CPU and Video Card alone...

Okay, so my system smokes through most everything I need to do with it.

What the heck do you do that requires such a machine? Or rather, are you just, yes... that good?

I mean with that power you could run a small home recording studio or render and manipulate full motion images.

Heh, I designed a system for this nurse friend of mine... asked her how much she was working with... she laid out 2-2.5k on me... I only had 600 to build mine!

Two things are the reason I got a machine this powerful:

The upcoming MMORPGs (D&D Online and Pirates of the Burning Sea in particular, neither of which my current machine is likely to handle...at least very well. Hell, it can barely play EQ2)

Adobe Photoshop CS2 (Cause Photoshop is a big RAM hog and I hate getting 'lag' when I am trying to do something in it)

The second, I can sort of understand.

With a machine like that you'll be good to run any MMO for the next like... 3 years without upgrades.

I went with the Asus A8-N for that very reason. Very upgradeable!

*depressed*

Would you believe it? Only had it a day and there's something wrong with it. It kept cutting itself off before it booted up fully and now it won't boot at all. I 'think' something's wrong with the PS...but I am not sure. And the place I got it from isn't open on sundays...

*whine* Worked fine yesterday after I brought it home and installed some nessacary and other stuff on it (NAV for one. My new Wacom tablet is another along with PS Elements 4 (I don't have PS CS2 'yet') and connecting it to the internet via a router). Tried to install EQ2 today and got the BSD. Went downhill from there...
