And Ceel can't stop himself from visiting TRF. He's linked with this thread with some self-absorbed comments about how TGC is superior to TRF. I won't return the free advertising.

However,

While other communities are sitting around on their keisters waiting for ezboard to finish their restoration of the system, or are leaving Ezboard altogether, TGC is gonns [sic] stay right where it is and push forward.

It remains to be seen how much hard work we have all lost in light of this horrible attack against ezboard, however we will not let it get us down. The hacker can take our theads, but he can't take our memories. The emportant [sic] thing is to not dwell on any data loss, but instead move forward and make new memories.

While we await the return of our old threads, I'd like to encourage everyone to create lots of great new topics around the community, and post heavily in them. Lets show these other communities how strong, and how loyal to Ezboard we still are. We've survived almost 6 years. Two weeks after the release of EPISODE III, we're not gonna let a little trouble set us back.

Enjoy.
-Brian

Mind, TGC has always encouraged spamming, so this is nothing new.

A board I'm a moderator on got hit and lost all of it's 2005 posts but just in case some of the older posts got lost too, I had to make a post copying ezboard announcements. The board is loooooooooong dead for about 3 years now but the owners check it like once a year and since their convinced I'm the evil person in all their online problems, I wanted to make sure they knew I hadn't went on a delete rampage, which would be their first thought :: shrugs :: you'd think they'd take me off the moderator's list, but I guess it gives them something to be paranoid about

Another board I post at (http://p211.ezboard.com/bvirtualedition) was barely affected at all, only losing a few posts.

Apparently you can get posts back by typing in the address manually in the URL search bar... I dunno if this is true, I haven't bothered trying, but that's what I was told.

It's just a matter of not being able to see the posts.

Nope. I have about ten links to threads on the old TRF board bookmarked, none of them worked for me.
