He's just lucky it's not a Canadian sub. A Canadian submariners worst enemy; his own boat.

US Navy? Pah. Give me the HMS Traflalgar any day. *salutes the Ensign of the Royal Navy*

I mean, granted, the US Navy has more ships and better ships and could stomp all over my tiny homeland if it wanted, but I never let facts get in the way of blind patriotism. :D

No seriously though, congrats! Good luck for it :)

Canada tried to meet the submarine power of west Edmonton mall.

Then we broke the subs.

We're not allowed nice things anymore.

You are allowed to drink alcohol on boats in the Royal Navy... so you've got my vote. I think maybe in Canada, too?

Drink is prohibited but for special occasions as selected by Captain and crew. Well, except for the MCR (I know...)

Fire in the electrical room? Blame the Brits for selling us crappy boats in the first place. Not that I think Canada should go with nuke subs, but there are... or were... better Diesel/Electric Hunter-Killers around.

Hyfe will probably spend his days laughing at the Canadian ships he'll end up in excersize with. Still, no Nuke Sub can ever run true silent.

Britain mothballed them for a reason... I'm sure they laughed long and hard when we asked to buy them.

Maybe Canada can get help from a former Dominion partner and buy a couple of Collins SSKs from Australia.

Sure, Krak, I'm all for selling them off.

Hyfe: Send the required/going price for the Collins' to my bank account, and I'll organize for them to be shipped over... on boats. Ironically. Allow 12-14 days shipping time, and ignore how I drop off the radar, never to be seen again with my newly acquired dosh.
