The environment. The humidity can affect an individuals ability to handle a potentialy fatal wound. Hot, cold, the weather at that moment, and materials at their disposal can all affect the survival time. Or if they are, say, average American, in thier mid twenties, strapped to a chair in a dry, 70 degree farenheit room and shot with a Colt .45, I say 20-35 minutes.

Uh huh...

How long do you have to live when shot in the belly?

... is not as percise as...

What is two plus two?

There is no simple answer and I think we've proved that.
