In the RP known as "Slow Minutes, Longer Hours" I'm currently in search of an Imperial officer (NPC or PC) that can participate...theoretically I could try to seek out permission to use a wayward NPC Imperial officer, but I prefer to see other people act interactively in these threads. At this time there's not a lot of room for others, but the time may come before the thread ends that I need more people.

Quick Synopsis
Spoiler Warnings Ahead:
If you're reading the RP and don't want the story spoiled please do not continue
Following Olan Ladron's recent acquisition of a surprisingly large quantity of spice, he is attempting to branch out his normally very modest criminal activities to include the fabled pirate king Feeorin known only as Nym. Upon landing with his body guard, a former gun for hire and ship transporter named Ridefort Ezedriel, on the planet Lok, the two discover that Nym's palace is not the cleanly oiled machine Olan was led to believe, and they are in the midst of discovering that the Quarren aide to Nym is in fact sabotaging the organization, intentionally keeping Nym's holdings small enough that Quksish can maintain a higher level of control.
To make matters worse, a band of pirates known as the Deep Space Marauders have set up as well on Lok, and are attempting to challenge Nym's aging authority over the planet. Quksish, seeing the chance to remove Nym from the picture entirely, is hoping to supplant the old Feeorin and replace him with the Marauders' up and coming lieutenant, and thus killing the head of the Deep Space Marauders in the process.
To be allowed to choose the time of the all but imminent war, Nym sends a salvage crew to just inside pirate territory - which could be a disputed border line, intentionally made vague by Nym himself. In the midst of the scavenging operation, just as Nym hopes, they encounter a pirate patrol, and Ridefort and Olan blast their way out of the situation, salvage in hand.
As they escape, Quksish is forced to set his plans into motion, and advises the Deep Space Marauder lieutenant to coordinate an attack against Nym's various orbital defense outposts - of which only one is visible as a form of "docking bay" and "trading center' for clandestine sources, the other two are in Lok's nearby asteroid field, keeping tabs on the Deep Space Marauders
Meanwhile Quksish, identifying Ridefort and Olan as major threats to his imminent plans, he advises his Anzati puppet, Absashi, to take Ridefort out hunting the fabled kimogila of Lok, sending assassins to insure that Ridefort does not return. Absashi, the chief network technician that keeps the super computer online for Nym's network of droids, is like Ridefort, and relishes in the hunt of dangerous creatures, and when he witnesses the assassination attempt, he turns on Quksish and, when the coup against Nym happens, he fails to turn the battle droids and droidekas against their master.
Seeing that his plan is going to fail miserably, Quksish hopes to alert [insert whoever decides to join me here] authorities of the location of some of Nym's private caches of spice and illegal weapons in the midst of the battle, hoping to force the authorities to destroy Nym once and for all. Instead, after a brief show down, Nym aids the officer in destroying the Deep Star Marauders under a loose truce - as in the midst of their battle against Nym, Olan and Ridefort were able to knock out his hyper drive unit.
Under the promise of the parts necessary to fix his hyperdrive unit, Nym acquires the officer's assistance, and an uneasy promise that he will not return with more military forces to wipe out Nym and his pirates - who are dug in enough that it would be no easy task, proven to the officer as he witnesses them in battle.
The officer does, however, get to return with the trophies and loot he acquired from the Deep Space Marauders.
There's a lot more stuff that goes in, but that's the jists of the "need to know" for someone interested in participating.
If this might interest you, drop me a PM.
