With the pending Imperial withdrawal from Bespin (I'm lazy, so it's pending), I'm planning to send a fleet to Pavo Prime. Not an attack, per say, but it does involve an (OOC assets) Imperial fleet and thus I believe it could be construed as an attack under the rules.

It's really more of the Empire showing up and saying "do this or we pound your planet into crap".

The rules make it illegal to try and take a planet that is already in the process of being taken by another group. Dolash is in the midst of "Operation: Missing Link", which takes place on Pavo Prime. I'm not certain whether it's an attack, or simply a roleplay (i.e. intel gathering or something of that nature). It does not, as far as I've read, involve OOC fleets or assets.

So, my question is this: am I allowed to launch an "attack" on the planet, utilizing OOC assets? And, if so, would said story better be played in a seperate thread, or within the thread already taking place? I would prefer, for obvious reasons, to do it in a seperate thread...

If Dolash wants to shed any light on Missing Link that might effect the decision, please do!

Anyway... yeah.

May as well make use of the same thread...

What's TRF's definitive policy on taking space stations? I'd like to be able to include The Wheel in my planet listing, but I'm not sure what, if any, the takeover requirements are? I don't care whether it contributes OOC assets or not, I'd just like to be able to say it belongs to TNO...

I haven't seen Dolash around much lately. I'm supposed to be doing an RP with him... Jan is going to get mad at us. Of course, I haven't seen Jan around much either.

Maybe I can plan some sort of coup d'etat sans eux sachant, honhon, je suis le membre francais mauvais meme de... er... Coalition.

Stations are a no no, and have been for a while.

Remember the Centerpoint!

Yeah. But Centerpoint had virtually limitless destructive power. Useless civilian stations should be an entirely different matter, no?

I'm here, I'm here.

As far as I know Dolash's thread wasn't an actual takeover, just a thread designed to find actual hard IC proof on the existance of the Union. And I think the thread is done, or just needs him to post saying he retreated, but I'm not sure.

Go ask Simon about the thread, I think he knows a lot about it, seeing as Dolash used a Shroud in the thread. Or at least someone in TNO has to know about it.

I'm around, I just haven't been able to focus for any length of time. I still check TRF once a day though, at the least. Anyways, the thread is over, it was just an intel operation.

Operation Missing Link was never a planetary takeover.

It was Dolash preforming an intel operation on Pavo Prime. It involved no OOC assets, and has been recently completed.

So the rules don't hamper you from coming to Pavo Prime in the slightest. I would however open a new thread if you choose to do so.
