Yes, I know, but it was bound to happen - over ten weeks of summer it was inevitable I might actually go on holiday at some point. While I'm gone control of the Coalition will pass to Beff, in case there's any issues that need resolving or I die tragically and mysteriously. I'll be spending the next two weeks away in a cottage-type place, doing cottage-y stuff like drawing, staring into the abyss, and building up huge fires.
As such, I need to address the many people whom I am writing alongside with. Some of you will be able to proceed with or without me quite easily, and I'll just catch up. Some of you are depending on me for certain threads or contributions. A few of you are even directly relying on my writing to pass a critical story junction or to introduce you to TRF. In the interest of helping those people, I'll be talking about each thread and those involved, to provide some constructive advice on what can be done in my absence.
-A New Journey (Max Reem)- I know, you need my help to complete your initial Jedi training, and this is terrible timing. However, you have had at least a little training, so if you wanted to do some threads about exploring your past or fighting minor wrongdoers or what have you, you could try swinging solo for a while. Reiku is another new Jedi, so I reccomend working with him together on some joint effort. It could even count as training if you worked together for a Jedi-related story.
-A Jedi's Loyalty (Reiku)- I'm especially sorry to leave someone so new to TRF and the Jedi Order without help, and I don't know if there even are any other active Jedi at TRF. All I can reccomend is that you either do a solo thread in the battlegrounds about your character (Their past, their plans, some personal training and experiences at the temple perhaps?) or maybe work with Max Reem on something. If anyone else wants to help you out or there's another Jedi around to mentor you, that'd be great.
-Visionary Episode Two: Testing Grounds (Wes Vos)- I'm afraid I can't much help you, Wes, if I'm away. Still, no matter what happens in this thread my spies would probably never kill your character nor obliterate your teams, meaning if you wanted to write stories about them that take place after the incidents on Coruscant and just vaguely reference encountering Coalition spies, that'd be just fine. Beyond that I can't suggest much, really. Try asking Simon, he might have another assignment for you.
-Uniting the Divided (Kalshion, Slaskia)- It's entirely possible you two will finish that story before I even leave, or it's possible it'll still be going strong by the time I get back. Since we're all working together, if you want to write in my parts while I'm gone to help continue the tale towards its' conclusion, feel free. We've been writing it long enough that I think you have a good feel for the characters.
-The Protean Paradigm (Lance)- I know we're doing this whole showdown thing, and that without me there to write it kind of loses the coolness factor of going head to head, so if you can afford to put that thread on hold until I get back that'd work with me, or fill in some other gaps in the story in the meantime perhaps? We agreed on a conclusion which means I guess you could reference the events you wanted to occur here. I can't think of a very satisfactory solution here, but it's your thread and you do what you want with it.
-Revenants of the Past (Telan, Kach, Corise, Lance)- Since Beff has the keys to the Coalition while I'm gone, he can control the Western detatchment in the story. I understand that Simon might have agreed to 'moving' the planet and smoothing over the whole territory situation so that Corise can get back to his takeover, although that is not yet certain. I wouldn't want to see it devolve into a struggling and argument-ridden battle, but should it come to it Beff can represent the Coalition as he sees fit, and Corise's desire for the direction of his thread will be our aim (wether he wants to fight the Empire for the planet or not, and so forth).
-Path of Destiny (Marek Zolar)- This's been kind of a weird thread, I admit. It's likely to sink back to the bottom of the battlegrounds in my absence so I'll try and give a partial wrap-it-up post in my next reply, so that you (Marek) can then finish up the thread without me, and with a neat little conclusion post. I don't know if you still want to train after this, but if you do all you have left in your character's training before promotion is a duel. That you'd have to organize with someone else anyways, so feel free to carry on your training if you so choose.
-Ambassadors of Truth (Right now it's Omnae)- We seem to be taking our time with this thread anyways, so no hurry I guess. It'd be good to have a reply in by the time I get back, if you could, to help progress the war (maybe we can have it over by Christmas?).
-A Score To Settle, A Price To Pay (Tir Esias)- We can continue down our 'agreed' pathway as you see fit, although it is indeed your turn. Again, we seem to be taking this one slowly and since it isn't part of a series of many threads to come I guess there's no pressing need to finish it in the next couple weeks. A post in it by the time I get back would be good, though.
-Profits of War (Omega Thrax)- This guy hasn't been around at all, and yet this is a war thread that still needs serious concluding. Can anyone help me with this one? I don't know for sure what I should do. Anyways, worth bringing up.
-Since When Is Diplomacy For the Military? (Corise)- This thread seems to be a bit forgotten, even though it isn't done yet. If you want to finish it let me know, or post in it. We got done what we needed though, if you just want it to drift.
-Visionary Dragonslayer (?)- I got mixed approval to just finish this thread off myself, as it's not really a battle and instead leads into events that are to happen at Mon Calamari. I've been kind of busy lately, however (see above), so I haven't had time to pursue it much. I guess... this is really more a general reminder that it exists? Okay then.
-That Evil Thing (Top secret!)- He to whom I have spoken of this thing may go forward with the plan without me, and I can merely reenter it later. It is likely this will take some time anyways, and a delay like this is no biggie. To anyone else whom the nature of this plan has been revealed, be patient, more information shall come with time.
