Perhaps his actions during this period could see his rise to Master...

Hm...
Now here's a question that this RP would bring up...
Namely, would the entire battlegrounds skip ahead ten years, and after this thread we'd just keep playing from there? Or would this one thread just happen in the future and then we'd go back to normal? How would we handle expansion for the ten year period, or indeed promotions?
I hate to sound like I'm snagging a good idea with a net of bean-counting, but still, if we do this it will effect all of our personal plans and ambitions considerably, and that has to be taken into account. Personally, I've been planning to overthrow the Empire in a slightly less dramatic way, and I was planning to get to work on it very soon (Simon, it'd involve the intelligence forays from the CIB I discussed with you).
I'm not saying we can't do it, of course, I'm just saying we have to be careful how we handle it to allow for the rest of TRF to keep pace. Do we even really need to skip ahead ten years? Perhaps we could just start from scratch and build the plan up from there, I doubt it would take much more then a year of IC time to really get it going.

Not so much... it strikes me as a "what if" scenario. For better or worse, TRF is a timeline RPG. The period we play is right now. This would be a story about what would happen if a number of events go a certain way... rather like the two "Of endings" RPs.
IF Appirations had played out differently, history would have happened as described in "Of endings". Similarly, if history goes a certain way, the events of this RP could be said to happen.
*shrug*
It seems to me though that the idea is that these events have no (or very little) bearing on the actual IC/OOC timeline... it's just a chance to have some fun RPing in a totally different setting.

Aye, I got a little bothered like you did Dolash with the Of Endings RP. I felt it took way too many things for granted. But after playing with my mind for about an hour Omnae finally admitted that it had nothing to do with what would happen in the future, just one of many possible outcomes if things went a certain way. I'm assuming it will be the same with this RP.

To answer your question, Dolash. No. The TRF galaxy is not going to jump 10 years. Our stories in the "now" are going to continue to move forward.
Actually, Dolash, the reason I said 10 years is because it would take that long for Kaine's clone armies to be created, trained and, in some instances, placed on planets to act out rebellion.
Quite simply, the way I was going to get around this is simply not to mention really any particulars.
The Empire is still around and the Coalition is still around. If in the course of rp'ing in the "now", let's say for arguements sake you take 40 of the Empire's planets. That still leaves TNO with 40+ worlds to be "the Empire".
The only "planets" that are going to be spoken of are planets that things "happen" on within the rp (ie: battles and crap).
What I really want to be rp'd are events, characters and emotions or personal situations you feel your character might be in. I do not want the places to matter much.
So we use our "holdings" now as a template or basis for roleplaying this, as it were. But, when in reality 10 IC years do eventually come to pass and we find the galaxy vastly different, I believe we can bank on two things. That there will be an Empire and there will be good guys. If the Coalition makes war and takes planets away, or if the Empire destroys the Coalition, all I would do is go back and change the names of the planets that the action happens on.
Really, the only planets that are specific so far in mentioning the plot is Mon Cal and Azguardia. Even if TNO ends up controlling these worlds IC after 10 years of regular rp, the events in THIS rp will still continue to happen.
What I am saying is that the locations can really be interchangable. What is important is the character stories told and the events that happen.
If this is a concept that you just cannot wrap your mind around, then this rp probably wouldn't be good for you.
*
Interestingly, my rp's do have a traceable, linear development style.
For example:
In chronological order of events we have:
Apparitions 1
Apparitions 2 (Kaine becomes Emperor)
This was the first draft of Apparitions. In the beginning Kaine would be Emperor at the end.
This event though (with Kaine becoming Emperor) is only mentioned in Of Endings: Heavy...
Themien War (events happen so that Empire wins)
This is an rp that is incomplete. But this is one that I will finish eventually. Since the Themien War happens after Apparitions, it stands to reason the Empire won it but it is only referred to in passing in the Of Endings: Heavy..rp
Of Endings: Heavy Sits the Crown of Victory... (tada)
When this rp is finished, the Draconnis will be going back in time to change Kaine from being Emperor.
Apparitions 2 - (Dracconis go back in time to change the history of the above rp and secure their future power)
This is how the 2nd Apparitiions thread will end. With Kaine nearly finishing off Hyfe but an intervention from a future entity interupts them and it is enough to change circumstances in which Hyfe becomes Emperor. Though now, even more than ever, he'll harbor a resentment and paranoia of Kaine.
Themien War (with Hyfe Emperor, Kaine loses the Themien War)
Obviously, with Hyfe Emperor and Kaine the soldier, the events unfold towards the Themien War. However, more than just position was changed but also future policies, etc.. Enough changes come about that Kaine loses this war. Something will happen to Hyfe and Kaine will still become Emperor. But losing the Themien War brings about the universe of Of Endings: Emtpy..
Of Endings: Empty the Cries... (surviving Dracconis go back in time again to undo the damage done the first time and still ensure their power)
The removal of Kaine as Emperor in the time of Apparitions only delayed his promotion and altered the galaxy in a way the Dracconis did not anticipate. With the creatures of the Blood literally finishing off the races of the galaxy they have one more attempt to remove the nightmare hellish galaxy they live in and see where the dice land.
Themien War (intervention helps Kaine win the Themien War)
With Draconnis intervention, Kaine wins and the rp will reflect the intervention as Apparitions pt 2 does.
(Chaos Theory rps)
(New Word Order series of rps) <--current TRF timeline
Fall of Kaine...
The bold titles indicate the actual rp's. The unbolded titles represent the events that took place during that time.

Is my idea alright and maybe Nihilus would be Sith Master and Dark Pharoah of the Sith. If my people gets involved? Maybe there would be a civil war between them and prehaps help from the Coalition for the rebel Sith?

I'd love to have an internal strife within the Mid-Rim Protectorate. Have some commanders go rogue and join Simon Kaine in his bid to clear his name, or whatever, and have others deal with the clone troopers, or hunt down the rogue commanders.

I understand your idea better now, Kain, and personally think this would be an excellent idea. Although the mini-summary of your time-travelling story does seem a little confusing, I think I get the jist of it too.
So, should we form a clear outline, cast the major players (and how they change), and get the ball rolling?
As it is your idea, you are probably the one most suited to elaborate on the existing information here, however, to aide you, I can give a rough appraisal of the Coalition and Regrad in ten years:
Regrad is, as always, fairly lacking in personality but still all-consumingly dedicated to the role he took up, one of liberating people in the galaxy from under the foot of Empires and despots. However, after ten years, he would probably begin to feel the weight of frustration and anger, and be seeking any methode or weakness.
The CIB would have grown into a proper intelligence organization, with all of it's efforts centered on trying to breed resentment of the Empire, cutting through the propaganda shield, and digging up the actual actions of Imperials and relaying them to command and to the Imperial citizenry.
The White Knights, under Ruuvan the Mon Calamari, would be evident across the galaxy, and probably would have earned their reputation as strong fighters and wise teachers, although the powers granted to them would have some griping of vigilanteeism.
I'm not sure how Logan's Praetorian Guard would be doing, since they're his to shape, but my guess would be they would have a strong grasp throughout the Unknown region, and would be renown for fighting and besting every threat the Coalition has known since their inception.
As a group, the Coalition would be splitting between two groups. The first group, the pacifists, would be those who say that there is no need to defeat the Empire or any other despotic group, that it would be better to preserve the freedom they have then risk it all. The second, the activists, would feel that they should not back down now, not when the Empire still threatens that which they have worked so hard to create. The pacifist side would be growing considerably, although not forcefully.
The Coalition would probably have expanded it's membership in the West and East of the galaxy, and perhaps have wrestled control of Bakura and Endor in the West, maybe taking Honoghr back in the East. We'd still have some members here and there between the two, but growth there would be slow due to the high Imperial Presence.
That's basically it. I see some good opportunities there to help your thread along.

Irtar would have continued his training, done his thing at Dantooine and faced his past, and come out, although shaken, still in the light side. Ever since then, he would've been developing his force powers and doing the odd jobs for the Jedi. Reached the rank of Jedi Knight we'll say, and his force powers are developing nicely.
Oh, and Irtar would've focused on building himself up as a saber combatant, and to use his force powers to compliment that. He's a finess dueler, and weilds two lightsabers that look like rapiers.

I'm solidifying some details that I wasn't quite sure of before in my mind, Omnae. Still awaiting your IM so we can go over them and see if any of them are plausible and, if not, how we'll go about things.
