I have spoken to a select few about the possibility of starting a mercenary faction on TRF. This faction, if created, would be called the Black Nebula Legion, and the members would serve as typical soldiers of fortune under the banner of The Bounty Hunters Guild; where they would take up contracts that would encompass a great many outlines (such as defending, securing, assaulting, security, etc, etc).
Basically they would serve as the men, and women, who can take on any contract (save for hunting, as there isn't a need for them to focus on that area of opportunity), and go into a situation with a small unit. Each member of the unit would be a jack-of-all-trades, trained in most forms of combat and strategy, however there would be some exceptions who would be able to serve as a distinct skill user (such as slicer, commander, etc, etc).
The idea of the group is that they would complete contracts (that don't place individual members against one another, opting for first-come-first-serve, per se), while basing their operation from a mobile source - potentially some medium sized frigate that can supply both living quarters, acceptable facilities (of various types), and satisfactory protection.
Within the entire organization there would be a very specific chain of command, and until the faction grows there would be a single main unit (comprised of all the members); until such time as there is a need to begin creating sub-units, with secondary commanders for those individual units - though all would still come under the organizational banner, and the leadership of the faction as a whole (namely the Hunters Guild).
I am willing to begin creating, and forming, this potential sub-faction, though I am going to need numbers and people who are interested. For those that are, I have some guidelines that can be used when creating characters, or what the faction may need in the way of skilled experts (as opposed to jacks) - that can be found below.
What I'm hoping to do is create a faction that can remain neutral, like the Hunters, but can be worked into mostly every role-play story as needed, depending on the demand required. And as long as the pay is good, then the Black Nebula Legion will complete their task/s...
One faction trait will be:
No broken contracts.
Once they are signed up, that's it; there's no leaving until that contract is completed and paid for. The Black Nebulas will ensure that some degree of professionalism is upheld, and they will do their job.

Character Guideline:
The following is a simple guide for potential characters, with suggestions made, in dot point form, for the sake of easy readability and use. These are only suggestions, but should give you a rough idea of what we're looking for...
A character can be:
- Any species (within reason, according to rules dictated by the board)
- Any past occupation (ex-Imperial, ex-Rebel, ex-Jedi, etc)
- Any specific skill focus (slicer, heavy gunner, commander, etc, etc)
- Any age
- Anything else you can think of
As long as your character is:
- Addicted to credits
- Able to trust and be trusted by fellow Legion members
- Able to uphold the ideals of the faction
- Able to complete any contract given to them; whether with help, or no
- Able to take, and give, commands, and take the initative when needed
Then you are able to join the Black Nebula Legion.
