Either hyperdrive is way, waaaay faster then warp or the Sta Wars galaxy is way, waaaay smaller then that of Star Trek.

Hyperdrive I believe is supposed to be far faster than warp drive in Star Trek.

And the galaxy is supposed to be smaller. At least, according to everything I've read.

I haven't heard that part Wes. The arguement I heard was more about travel times based on ST warp times and SW Hyperdrive. Given a map with known locations and distances, added with instances of speed given by a device between those known distances.... Lets just say that SW ships regularly cross in a week what would have taken Voyager 75 years.

Here's a decent page about travelling times...

Particularly the travelling by hours. Granted, this part doesn't take into account things like the Gestalt-Kashan hyperlane (because of the technology involved in that route)...

Of course. But for us it takes six days to travel half the galaxy - took voyager 75 years to do that.

I know I'm not affecting anything. Im not going to coruscant. destroy away. Besides, it's too late for my genius to save. I'll have to reconquer or something glorious.

The new Empire shall need the services of all to wipe away the stain of treachery, complacency, and conspiracy. In its place shall rise an empire of loyal, strong, proud, and brave men ready to fight and die for their sovereign and homes. They shall work hard, and play harder! [/speech]
