Are you both going to be exploring the diplomat to Coruscant thing in this thread?


I ask because your sending out of diplomats (in TFW) to a variety of governments no matter their ideology is in an effort to combat the Reavers.

Ahnk mentioned that you were not sending anyone to Coruscant. So you decided to put the diplomat in the Curse the Darkness thread instead of TFW?

Since Curse the Darkness takes place before TFW, how can you be sending a diplomat to Coruscant to discuss your plan to combat the Reaver threat if it is before you even have developed the plan?

Unless you both are going on a plot that I do not know about (which is fine) but the placement and IC timing of the Coruscant is strange. Since you are ignoring ideology and war zones in going to both the Empire and Republic (since they are at war in TFW) because the Reaver threat is a threat to all then, as Ahnk pointed out, it would be hypocritical not to include the Cree'Ar.

So, when a government (say, the Republic) in TFW asks if a delegation was sent to the Cree 'Ar, you can self-righteously claim they were the first. But when they ask the follow-up question: And?

Your diplomat will scratch his head and say, "I don't know.. it hasn't been written yet even though it took place before this."

Then everyone will be scratching their heads and thus the galaxy will succumb to an outbreak of bald spots on heads.

I think the idea of "hypocrisy" as it pertains to the Cree'Ar went right out the fucking window when a Reaver fleet showed up at Duro at the SAME TIME the Dominion bounced for no reason.

Sorry Ahnk, I know you're sellin it hard, but honestly I can't justify buying that IC.

Now, the question is, does the Coalition KNOW about that yet? You may say no, but I already know Smarts' response would be: Ryn fleet lolz.

Well, I have absolutely no clue about all that. I assumed you were referring to the diplomats sent out in his Force Wars post, and looking at your first post I realize that was also something you were curious about.

I anticipate Smarts' response with a fervent something. He needs to get his lazy ass on AIM anyway so I can tell him about more bad shit I'm going to do to him.

The guy sent to Coruscant is separate from the Force Wars stuff. I didn't send a guy in Force Wars to the Cree'Ar because, by then, we aren't on speaking terms (given how Curse the Darkness is going to end).

The Force Wars diplomats have been dispatched by Prime Minister Pro Moon for the immediate purpose of assembling an international Reaver-fighting force (essentially a drastic up-scaling of the Anti-Reaver Compact). Each team also has other, region-specific assignments as well.

The Curse the Darkness diplomat sent to Coruscant is a purely Cooperative effort to find out if the Cree'Ar are as bad as it fears they are (and, if needed, try to stall for time while the Cooperative puts a plan together to combat them). The Cooperative is very concerned with the Dominion's anti-Force-user stance, but at present is too chicken to say so publicly, so it's working behind the scenes to try to head off whatever plans the Dominion may have while trying to keep itself from becoming too obvious a target. I'm hoping to work more of this into the thread in my future posts, by the way.

I haven't talked to Ahnk about the guy I sent to Coruscant. I mentioned doing the Coruscant thing to you (Omnae) on AIM, and you mentioned something about Ahnk having told you what the Cree'Ar are doing on/to Coruscant, but I guess I assumed you meant that you would write the Coruscant thing with using what Ahnk had told you. My mistake.

So, basically I guess that leaves me at . . .

Yeah, Ahnk should do the Coruscant thing. You did mentioned Coruscant but for some reason it did not click with me that you were talking about our thread.

I have an idea of what the situation is there based on a convo with Ahnk a long time ago but he may have tweaked his thoughts on it since then. I would probably screw up Ahnk's plans if I rp'd going on just that old convo.
