Simon's latest thread, the final bow, is a true epic that ties up the 'loose ends' of the Empire in a way that reflects its' current state. It marks the beginning of a new era and aknowledges that the old time of war and cold war is passed. We are left only to wonder what new world shall take its' place, a time when anything could happen.

Simon Kaine is coming to the Unknown Regions, you rat-fink sonovabitch :D .

Now I'm not going to call it contrived. The reasoning is perfect and sensible, the forces are well within Simon's power to summon, everything seems to check out. I may call it a highly interesting choice of retirement home. The Unknown Regions are a big place, right? Plenty of space to get lost? I bet you could spend months in there and not run into anyone of note at all...

Fuck. I am so boned! ;)

I threw "unknown regions" out there so you weasily SOBs don't try to revive the character by trying to "find" him. The character is retired.

I hate to make this thread about anything other than the brilliant roleplay and its repercussions at hand, but Simon...

So help me God, if the decision to post this piece was in the slightest made as however indirect a result of my OOC jab, I will....I will be very sad. And mad at you. That too.

That being said, the piece is terrific. And its repercussions...tragic, albeit only a little ominous at the moment.

The conclusion was, I think, very much Simon. Bravo.

But for those of you that think TNO's days are numbered, remember the words of Beff Pike: "fuck that duck". He probably said something about Telan and Park and Kach, too, but I was passed out at the time. Suffice to say, we will make Simon proud. :)

Good luck, Simon - are you creating a new character, or focusing on the Commonwealth?
