Well it makes sense if you think about it: resetting everyone's planet list to 1 or so when you used to have fifty or more kind of screams that the history was reset for those worlds as well. You'd be working off of a clean slate basically, with no 'memory' of what happened in the last 'reality'. At least that's how I would do it to prevent confusion in the timeline...

Well, that's nice, but it's not your board, and it's not how we did it.

Slaskia no. The history did not reset either. There is a timeline in the Biography forum which may be helpful.

The fleet reset was an OOC necessity, not an IC one, because of the nature of our fleet rules back then. So, how did we justify IC the loss of assets and political control over planets?

The Transitions roleplay/story bit was created by Gash.

And history continued. By way of example: The Empire has faced two Civil Wars now. The one of canon and the one that splintered it in this "Transitions" roleplay.

In any event, none of this really helps your character with regards to Coruscant and the Jedi Temple so I shall move on.

What Gue was telling you was basically some history in referring to SWFans and TGC but yes, Fan's history is really only relevant to those characters that have been around from that time (which is not many). TGC history (up to the split) is somewhat more important and it is actually reflected in the Timeline.

As for the Temple and Coruscant, in the Official TRF Timeline, the relevant things you need to know is:

Between canon NR ownership of Corsucant to TRF's NR control (in the roleplay: Sleeping Giant Awakens, started around the inception of TRF as a separate board), Coruscant was controlled for a bit by a Sith Faction (called Eternal Rogue Order (ERO).)

The Temple area was used to display their own artifacts and trophey's and whatnot. The "Jedi" stuff probably would have been moved to lower levels (if not outright destroyed).

It could be farely assumed that the Jedi Temple was undergoing reconstruction and a revitalization at the time the NR came back though the main Temple on Naboo was never moved over to Coruscant nor was Coruscant made the capital of the NR again.

The Temple would have fallen on hard times when the Empire (TNO) came to own Coruscant and in the rp with Vodo, Fractkus? ( :) ), and Leia it is in a state of ruin.

I would say that the outside of the old temple may have been rennovated (made to look new) and/or turned into something else (because it doesn't look seemly to have an area of Imperial Center in disrepair when it is the crown jewel of the galaxy) with the relics and whatnot sealed away in the lower levels and left forgotten by a people that don't give a damn about the force.

The Jedi Corps would probably have their own building in another area to differentiate from the old Jedi (alien-scum-lead) Order and the new Corps.

So feel free to add your own perspective.

There is also another IC Jedi Temple that has been rennovated as well. And this temple is purely from that history that carried over from TGC. There was a player at TGC called Artimus (sp?) who had a Jedi faction on Elrood and built a temple only to have the planet taken by Itala Marzullo.

In Conquest of Capricia (since this story carred from TGC to TRF), Capricians have taken Elrood and began to rennovate the old Temple. Actually, they are also rennovating the Sith Temple Marzullo built being the curious beings that they are.

This temple was going to be offered to Leia as a retreat of sorts as she is IC spending more time in Caprician company..

:)

In any event, that is the extent of my knowledge.

I look forward to your roleplay.

I stand corrected on the fleet reset thing: it was a bad thing for me to assume that a fleet reset meant a total faction reset as well. Chalk it up to inexperience in the actual Fleeting thing :).

Thank you for the info Simon, I hope to get the thread started soon. FYI it will be the second post in that thread the character actually arrives on Coruscant. That will be when the fun begins :)

It was Artimir, I think. The Jedi have had several temples in TGC/TRF history (relevant to TRF only...), the one on Coruscant which, since it was considered ancient history, didn't really get too much play during the NR's time on the planet, the Elrood temple that Omnae mentioned (and knows more then me about, no doubt), the temple(s) on Naboo, and Gash's training centers on Ossus. For the sake of your thread, none of that probably really concerns you... the only reccomendation would be to read Fruitstick and OS's RP and try and keep the state in line with what was described there.

It might have an a in it. It's in TGC's history, if you bare the wasteland to look it up.
