Thank you, thank you. My (dead) ADSL and I feel loved.

Still no luck whatsoever getting my connection fixed, and on top of that, my hearing's gotten considerably worse than what it was before. I remind me of my grandad now. Loud music even makes my ears hurt.

Heir, how could you ? =(

Sleep with earplugs, listen to as little as possible (no music, no TV, nothing). The ear is a muscle that can be over-extended just like any other. It needs to rest when hurt.

Oh, right, forgot the operation bit.

I pushed my ears to the limits this past christmas season. On top of doing heavy equipment and chainsaw work all day (naturally on occasion doing something without ear protection) my band was going full-boar several weeks solid. Rehearsals and gigs were performed without something in the ears. I also attended a Superchic[k] concert, and forgot my ear plugs. After the Superchic[k] concert, my ears hurt. Loud noises (someone talking to me in a car, for instance) would distort much like it was being played from an overdriven set of earbuds.

It took several weeks for them to get back to normal. I kept everything at a minimum, or didn't listen at all.

For a guy who plans on making his living with his ears, I wasn't very smart this last winter.

Wait, why would you go to a concert with ear plugs ? o_0 But yeah, I know what you mean. I had to attend this stupid cultural show on Friday night and, since they made me sit in the very first row, I was about ten feet or less away from half a dozen ginormous speakers on full blast. Urgh.

Well, my doctor ditched me today (after I'd already arrived at the hospital), so I still don't know what's up. One of the male nurses did however offer some reassuring advice, by telling me to remind myself that I have two ears. Grr.

Oh, and when I came home, I was told that the technicians tried calling me a number of times over the past few days, but my cell has also decided to play dead and so didn't register any of them.

So much death and devastation.

You just weren't happy killing her ADSL Heir? You had to go and snuff the Cell Phone to?

Jeez, you really need to move down here with me. Reliable help in fixing ASDL and cable connections, good doctors and medical facilities, and excellent cell phone towers and cell phone purchasing places.

As for going to a concert with ear plugs, well, getting to see women taking off their shirts and getting carried around in the a mosh pit is always fun.
