2 different threads, both the loves of my reading...

Of Endings.... God I love this thread, full of awesome storylines involving just about every major object in the galaxy. Its hard to read it and not get drawn in by some aspect in particular, if not the entire thing.

The Themien War... the concept of the blades, as I've read it so far, is beautiful. From a tactical standpoint, from a way things work.... I can drool over it. The story of the building species and its origin as well. Par excellence.

Finally got around to reading entirely through both Of Endings and just now finished reading The Themien War. I must say, Omnae has me hooked, as he so often does. He is at his best when he is allowed to simply tell a story, with little regard for the galaxy around him.

The similar differences throughout the events of Heavy Sits the Crown of Victory and Hard the Cold Hand of Time... and Empty the Cries of the Vanquished and Bitter the Taste of Defeat especially are brilliant.
