Would anyone be interested in joining a new Lightside-ish faction? I've been thinking about it a lot recently, going back and reading New Beginnings Part I: An Alliance of Rebels and even visiting the old New Rebellion board.

Just seems like there's a need at TRF for another solid lightside type faction. RPing in that group was some of the most fun I've had RPing. So I've just been running through possibilities in my head lately, it probably wouldn't make sense to have the same New Rebellion group we had before. Perhaps if we RP'd it to somehow the initial group failed IC, and a new group was formed. Similar but with significant changes?

Off the top of my head I was thinking of something similar to the old Alliance, however adding Jedi as well maybe? More like the Old Republic days? Perhaps setting up a Jedi Council type thing and helping unify the Jedi as well?

Anyways, just some thoughts I've had lingering recently. I know my track record has to been to show up and take off, but I'm not planning on going anywhere. I've got a solid amount of time on my hands these days as well.

I think they JUST started up a new light side Rebellion type group like within the past couple weeks.

Yes, there is a new group that's basically what you said Zell. It's the "Rebellion" or "Rebel Alliance". It's listed under the group forums as the "Rebellion" just under the Germanican Grays or above the Nighsisters.

Leia and Vodo are the two Jedi involved in it. There's a bunch of other people involved with it as well doing various stuff from piloting to special ops, etc.

Yes, just recently a number of lightside characters banded together to form a (new) Rebellion. We have a great deal of support, I hope that we are able to keep it up as we begin to establish ourselves IC.


Leia, Zark, and Vodo are the Jedi involved at this point in time, other Jedi might possibly have affiliations in the future. Personally, I am not very interested in reforming the Jedi Council right now. The Jedi have an informal hierarchy and training structure but they choose their own paths... though it seems they will often work together. I am finding that I like it this way better.


I support a move towards the original trilogy feel: a hit and run Rebellion fighting to survive, with the Jedi interspersed in it's ranks following their own paths while helping fight the good fight.

They're all just trying to be like me.
