The LON is not the same thing as NationStates. No need for it's own forum. ;)
New Forum Suggestion
I agree with Brutus. That(*) would be useful.
Let me throw another idea out there:
Make a LON Forum and make the Propoganda forum a subforum of the LON, sort of a place where the governments of the galaxy interact directly with one another, then a subsection for the spoken word and rumor therin.

Or, to reverse, that, make the LON forum a subforum of the Propaganda forum. That would make more sense.
I beg to differ, I see it that the LON would get more interaction and roleplay. Consider, a propoganda slur is aired on the holonet, instead of a series of counterslurs and indirect confrontational media releases one could simply approach the representatives of another government via the LON.
Currently, most of the members of the LON are worlds untouched by our respective TRF governments (in terms of ownership). There are 3 worlds owned by governments (as far as I can remember) that are now members: Aargau, Tirhann, and Anaxes.
Basically, I think Gue is trying to offer up a forum for political rp'ing in a venue different than say, the Astral Astoria. Perhaps newbies can rp ambassadors or political leaders of the LON entity?
Heir is likening it to the IC Propaganda Forum but really, the LON cannot really be a venue now for faction 'talks' as there are really no 'factions' but individual planets as members. I liked his comparison with the Astral Astoria better as simply another rp'ing venue outside the battlegrounds...
I have tried to rp the LON as an entity who's makeup, perceptions and actions ar reactive to the actions of roleplayers and groups, having it made up of planets that are left, middle and right on the ideology scale...
In any event, as I mentioned to TNO members in a private forum, I do not mind giving up creative control over this if there is interest in setting up a forum to remove the "LON is just a Puppet/Slave of TNO" thought/claim.

Well, my thought, as it was, would be to contribute to the LON as it stands, by adding representatives of all willing galactic governments (Roleplayed and NPC) to it and add a new level of IC interaction to the galaxy beyond that of mere propoganda, yet remain a motivator for RP.
Of course, your ideas are just as good as mine, so take it where you will

I like the idea, and throw my support behind it.
lmfao!
Seconded.
