Need a little help...

I've been lurking for the past couple of days and reading posts and such, and began writing the first portion of my characters (K1-52, representitive of M4-78) journey, and I've come to sort of a roadblock in progress.

A little backround on M4-78 might be helpful. You see, a group of colonists sent droids ahead to M4-78 to colonize the planet for them before they arrived. For one reason or another, the colonists never arrived. Instead the ancient Sith Empire discovered it and the central droid intelligence saw them as the colonists they were waiting for. So, the droid intelligence deems the Sith as the colonists. Now, the ancient Sith empire began to set up to take advantage of the planet and it's resources when one of the Jedi Masters from KOTOR 2 (The one who was found dead on Korriban, she was originally slated to be on M4-78. Does it matter if I rewrite this portion of history?) And her padawan arrived to stop them. Her padawan released a deady nerve toxin onto the planet which killed everyone, but before the Sith escaped it gave the droid intelligence one final command: To not allow anyone to reactivate the droid intelligence. K1-52 was created with the purpose of collecting information on the galaxy to update the industry on M4-78 and to locate the Sith of a relatively high rank once again in order to reverse that order and reactivate the production lines on M4-78, the gas being dissolved but the planet being kept in relatively working order due to independent maitenence droids.

Okay, maybe that wasn't little but still had everything I was going for.

Now for my problem: I have no idea where to look. Now I know I could begin my story like that, it works well for a while. But with the Sith being a scattered and secretive order...well, it's not quite to helpful.

Which is why I posted this. Any suggestions and/or criticisms on the backround I slated?

Talk to Vance Jas and the Sith Order.

It's a very solid idea that will, naturally, require certian revisions to match with our history. As Drayson noted above, I would also suggest you speak first with Vance Jas of the Sith Order about the possibility of exploring this; however, it need not be limited as you have written in.

I am going to give this proposal some serious consideration. Look for more in the future. And welcome!

Well, a good place to start would actually be the revisions you stated with the history. If anyone could throw something up there I'd be mroe than happy to change it. Didn't think it would be much of a problem being most of it took place during KOTOR 2, about 3,900 years BBY.

So this would be a retrospective/history thread? Not occuring in the present?

All of that happened 3,900 BBY

K1-52 was created with the purpose of collecting information on the galaxy to update the industry on M4-78 and to locate the Sith of a relatively high rank once again in order to reverse that order and reactivate the production lines on M4-78, the gas being dissolved but the planet being kept in relatively working order due to independent maitenence droids.

This is recent. The Sith Empire refers to the Sith forces in KOTOR and KOTOR 2, back when it was an Empire of troops and not all force users. K1-52 was created with the thought that it still was an Empire and not a secretive Order.

I cannot see a problem with the retrospective aspect as long as you avoid causing any entanglments that could compromise our history or the pre-existing EU history around the area. So that should be fine.

The only problem would be with the recent aspect; bringing a new faction/subfaction into TRF can be tricky particularly when you're trying to break into a market that is already filled (in this case, by The Sith Order) and to that end I would again referr you to Vance Jas as he is, currently, the authorotative member responsible for all things Sithy.

Oh no no no....I'm not trying to say the Sith is an Empire now, nor am I creating one. I am saying that K1-52 and those he reports to believe that they still are, having been isolated from the galaxy for thousands of years. I'm not changing anything recent.

However, the only thing is the central droid intelligence can only be activated by a voice command from a Sith "officer" (In this case it would have to be a Knight or Master). Whether or not they decide to use the planet, not use the planet, or just tell K1 to go f*ck himself and not help is entirely up to them.

I understood that. I was simply trying to examine and exhaust the possibility that your aim was along the lines of 'god moding'. Don't be too hurt by that; given the events of another ongoing thread I'm just being certian to keep the slight fair. But you seem to have a fairly clear understanding of what you're after so I'd give you the green light but for the need of Sithness.

To that end I would suggest speaking to Vance Jas, as he is the member generally responsible for all things Sithy and, In Character, plays as Master of the Sith Order etc etc.

If you are unable to contact him directly, I would be willing assist you with my own Knight ranked Sith character, Dioan Silk/Lord Silk.

Good luck and, if you need to, let me know.
