My scarceness explained

Some may have noticed that I've posted very little during the last week. The explanation is pretty simple, I got a new job. The hours are pretty demanding, since this is the peak season for us. I'm up at six-twenty every day, get picked up around seven-fifteen to seven-thirty, and I'm back home between seven and eight at night. Solid work pretty much the whole time.

Needless to say, I'm pretty much ready to just eat and crash when I get back. I had this Saturday off only because the boss needed to do some stuff at home, otherwise it's a six day workweek too.

So, at least until spring thaw starts, I'll probably be quite scarce, posting a bit at night, and maybe some stuff on the weekends. For people waiting on RP posts from me, there's only one that I can think of ATM, I'll work on them as best as I can. I believe I've gotten my workload here down pretty good, so I should be able to get some stuff off now and again without killing myself.

For anyone wondering, I run skidder and chainsaw for a small logging company. Yes, I support massive deforestation in the name of crass commercialism and nature exploitation. Because of the disasters in Florida and California, the wood and paper mills up here are running full bore, 100% wide open and chugging. We could sell four times the amount we're producing, if we could produce it.

So there's the explanation. I'm off to make lunch for tomorrow, and then hit the sack. Eight hours of sleep, or I'm in trouble.

As a perk, this skidder does the monster truck real good, on top of piles of wood that is. I've also popped a few wheelie's with it. Four-wheel-peel with a too heavy load leads to front axel six feet up and me hitting the clutch. No tipping yet, though the boss has tipped the feller-buncher, which is about the same size as the skidder.

That's a picture of a skidder that's like the one I'm operating. Mine has a four-way arm though, that one is only a two-way. The tires are just as tall as me (six feet), and it's a five-foot climb into the cab.

Maybe all of the staff here could do with one of those things...

Settle any fleeting matters promptly, heh.

Np Titus, don't work too hard eh?... you know what they say about Jack.

See you when you are back.

What do they say about Jack now?

And enjoy your new job, Kas. If you work with those it must be very demanding, so you get your eight hours of sleep.

You should name your skidder "Worth". Like the Jedi Knight of The New Jedi Order series. Mwah!
