Birds of prey did make evasive manuvers in the last post. They would be able to avoid some damages. Enough to avoid some of the damages that you sent their way along with the total destruction of all of their number.
The shrouds are also 125 meters. As per the rules they cannot destroy ships in two posts unless they are twice their size and at 295 meters in length the shrouds are several meters short in that reguard. The 12 shrouds dealt out a large portion of the damage in the last two posts. As such their percentile of the damages allows for several of the BOPs to survive another post.
First off, Vonta, you are in no way involved in this thread and thus for you should stay out of the OOC thread.
Secondly, the Shrouds did a minimum of the damages in the last round of posts. The majority of the damage was dealt out by the seven Star Destroyers that were there.
My ships did not build upon the damages of Tratcha's, their actions were included in his assesment. They came into range of a group of damaged enemy vessels that had been under fire for some time in my last post, and in this post opened fire with all guns.
The BoPs, focusing on the Venerator, failed to respond to their threat and took massive damages from that failure.
Mass firing of missiles, generally, means mass-firing several hundred at one target. That is not what happened; specific ships were targetted by single emplacements and destroyed.
"two ISDs moved along the Barbarossa II helping to attack the many small agitating vessels that even now were throwing their firepower at the heavily armed and armored command ship in their effort to destroy it."
Tracta's first damage on the BOP's
"The Venerator, along with its two ISDs and 12 Shrouds, continued to lay into the Birds of Prey, smashing their shields and hulls mercilessly. "
Tracta's second damage post on the BOP.
You are right I am not involved. But I do have a quick bit of useful words to say so I say them and shall be on my way.
But again, reguardless of what you say here in the thread the Shrouds played a role in the destruction. The amount of damaged dealt by them was not determined but that is immaterial considering that they are involved and as such privy to the 3 post rule becuase of their involvment.
I asked Theren about this as soon as the new rules were posted. When calculating ship to ship damages with the 2 and 3 post rules, you add the sum of the parts to get the relative power.
TNO: 21 100 meters ORS: 7080 meters
Therefor, TNO has 2.98 times the ammount of meters that the ORS force has, and therefor has the capability (taking the rules literally) to destroy the entire BoP force over two posts.
And still not do as much damage as Griff did in one post earlier.
That is what theren said but Until we hear from a staff member that that tells us that this is the way that the staff agreed to for figuring out such damages. then a possibility could exist that I am yet correct. And seeing how this is an important point if that is indeed true that they are using over all percentages of attacking ships rather then the size of the induvidual ships engaged in combat then it should be noted for the record.
