If you've got time to critique the efficiency of my war-related posts, how come you haven't got time to fight a war, Heir?

Never mind about that, I posted this because I felt the existing thread was a little stale, and is really more about discussing the issues about the war that are problematic, while this is more of a visible reminder to all the people I'm waiting for to move the war forwards. I do understand that many are busy with school, or feeling sick, but once they're back from that I wouldn't want them to forget about these threads as they're falling from the first few pages.

Either that or we have an issue of credit here, which is to say; who can piss farther. I would note that not one person in a position of authority has posted to poo-poo the additional thread as of yet, which may be an indication that it is not, immediatly, a problem.

Of course, if this thread is only going to serve the purpose of letting the GC and BDE decide who gets to ride shotgun, then all the power too you.

Park, send me what I need boy!

It's been roughly two months in the Union threads, three months in the Phage thread, and a fair amount of time in both the direct BDE threads.

I'm trying to be patient, but I'm constantly reminded of the merciless timekeeping during the last war where - despite there being many more threads than this war - even the slightest delay past 72 hours was hawkishly struck upon. Seriously, if this were a more forceful person at the helm of the attack, for example anyone, there would be a great deal of complaint and probably they'd just keep posting on, letting protests fall on deaf ears.

Is TRF dead? Maybe not, I do see some activity in the R&D forum and a few threads plodding along in the Battlegrounds, but a lot of the "High Profile" threads and posters seem to have fallen off the face of the earth.

The situations are actually pretty vague and nebulous. You and Ahnk, at the very least, are around and certainly posting, yet the war is ignored. Perhaps I should take your presence yet lack of action as legitimate grounds to keep posting? After all, you've had ample time and opportunity to compose a reply and/or deal with my (now antiquaited) filed complaints, corrections, or protests.

Also, the situation with the union only begs more questions. It's been two months already - how long is too long? What if they don't come back for a year, can it be reasonable for them to make me wait that long? Should there be a time where for the sake of closure and fairness I'm allowed to move forwards?

I hate to say it, but...

... maybe the War would get ignored less if you, the elite fleet and planet-taking contributors, took a moment to try and involve the independant posting community in your war.

TRF is not dead! War, is seems, has just become such old-hat that it dosen't have the person-pull that it once did. Seriously, how many people are involved in this war? How many of those people are the same people that have been involved in every war before it...

TRF is not dead!

TRF is dying I've noticed but its not dead yet.

Beff has a point about it being the same old people but so many people are inactive. You try to start something with somebody and they'll probably just disappear on you.

As for the Union. Eventually you just gotta post.

As for BDE. I see Heir posting multiple times a day. If he could even come up with 1 post every few days that would be millions of times better than it is currently.

The thing about war, though, is that it can't be ignored - that's the whole point. Either they defend themselves or you walk all over them. I'd love to get more independant-minded posters like yourself, Beff, more directly involved in the war but let's be honest, if we started a war thread right now, where would it go? Certainly not to the front, where we'd see no action beyond waiting for a reply.

Even with every unique character, new writer, and independant poster on your side a war does not progress without action, and without either an opposition poster or permission to run the war solo there is no action!
