Ouch, looks like it hurt a hell of a lot. And dolash (Or anyone else) don't worry, nothing there to be squeamish about.

Actually, it didn't hurt that much. First there's the "oh dang i cut myself" feeling, that if you've cut yourself you know well. A dull ache came in right after. Right now the left side of the finger is all numb, and the right side is normal, so I think I sliced a nerve straight through.

They said I just missed the tendon, too. And had I not been wearing gloves, that I probably would have gone straight through my finger.

I'm gonna buy chain-mail gloves for future work.

buy butcher's gloves... same thing as chain mail, only less bulky and designed for that exact purpose...

Next time, just use concrete shoes and toss 'em in the river, instead of sizing 'em down and stuffing into garbage or duffle bags.

You know, this guy in my woodshop class almost cut his middle finger off on the bandsaw.

He turned off the saw, and didn't wait for it to stop before adjusting it, and got his finger 2/3 of the way chopped off. It was just hanging. It cut right through the joint near the end of the finger.

Thread necromancy is generally bad.

But since it involves partial mutilation, I'll let this one slide.
