Ok, I've just read through a bit of that and you've mentioned the Union. How many times do I have to stress the fact that NO ONE knows about the Union? I suggest you edit or provide some viable proof that someone outside of the Union's inner circle, the Committee, or its special operatives would know of it.

Oh wait, you can't, because everything involving the Union is done through puppet organizations who are ignorant of the fact that they are being controlled by someone in the shadows.

Please edit that reference because the Union still doesn't exist to anyone's knowledge.

Still clinging onto your little fantasy?

The only one here clinging to a fantasy is you. Even Kaine does not make mention of the Union in his post against Garqi, that is Agro and GLF. If the Grand Marshal of the New Order doesn't do it, then perhaps you shouldn't either? The only people TNO have dealt with so far is the GLF, whose agents know nothing of the Union.

No other part of the Union has reached out to strike the Empire except the GLF. So please tell me how you find me the one clinging to a fantasy when I've tried to do something original for once(correct me if I'm wrong here) and try to make things a little different out here with a faction that isn't likely to directly attack people? The Union isn't some major war power; its a rich, secret organization which controls whole other companies and criminal empires. Ever heard of the Illuminati? If so, consider us the Rebel Faction version of them except no one has yet to find out we exist yet. No one.

So, how about giving up on this personal vendetta you seemed to have developed against the entire Union and try focusing on the actual part of it that attacked your worlds, hmmm? I believe that happens to be Brutus Nogoth and the GLF, which Falleen of course has no connections to whatsoever but I'm not arguing that point. I'm only here to stress the fact that we have tried very hard to keep the existence of the Union itself secret so I'd like a little recognition for our efforts, like maybe realizing that its the crazy terrorists attacking you and not the Union itself.

My anyalsis of your post Kracken:

"Because as of lateley, an unusual number of Falleen commanders have been spotted in fleets opposing us. Used to, the Falleen stayed away from us, or even allied with us, as such was the case with Prince Xizor.

So now the Empire is so omnipotent that they can divine what sort of species are in fleets opposing them? Usually the Empire destroys enemy ships, or they flee. Yet somehow you know that more Falleen are fighting you.

Well, thats not too bad, I mean I guess that could be figured out somehow.

The first example was a fleet sent against us by the Diversity Alliance, unto which recent information revealed that they were working with the Bothans against us at Isht and Diamal. Since then both the Bothan Empire and the Diversity Alliance has been crushed. But, recently the bothans, this time most likely working for the terroist organization known as the Union, has again struck out at Isht, inciting uprisings against the Imperial rulers.

Ok. You've got a point. The Diversity lliance did strike out against Isht. And yes, both have since been crushed. I mean, too bad that ICly the two groups secretly connect, a fact which was never revealed.

But how did you suddenly have a leap of faith to assume that the Bothans are now working for the Union? A group which has made no actions to reveal itself? None of the anti-Imperial actions done by Union affiliates have been carried out by the Union itself. Never has there been a mention of the Union, nor its connection to the GLF.

Does Brutus Nogoth credit the Union in his press releases? Do GLF operatives scream long liver the Union?

No. They work for the GLF. The GLF is its own organization- it is affiliated with the Union, but that doesn't mean that the Union is the GLF.

Therefore, we believe that a number of Falleen leftover from the Alliance may also have fallen in with the Union. Since they are such capable commanders, and since their homeworld has not been visited anytime recently, Admiral Kraken decided to order a occupation force to head to Falleen, and to bring that world under Imperial control. Although this is a mission of conquest, much more of it will be seen as a mission of Reconissance, to see what has happened to the Falleen and their homeworld during all this time." said the Commander.

So, although the Diversity Alliance was crushed, there are still leftover groups powerful enough to threaten the Empire. And they have fallen in with the Union.

Besides the fact you don't know ICly that the Union exists, where do you get this info? Have there been any attacks on the Empire by Falleen (excluding the Diversity Alliance.)? No.

Then we have this part of the quote:

Although this is a mission of conquest, much more of it will be seen as a mission of Reconissance, to see what has happened to the Falleen and their homeworld during all this time."

How does the Empire have all this information on the Falleen if they don't even know whats happened to its homeworld? And is the Imperial High Command now approving "Missions of Conquest" before they have even an inkling of reconissance on the world?

Anyone knows that sort of military endeavor is pure folly.

Take a lesson from Kaine.

Make your story backround probable.

Use information you could actually know ICly, not information you only know because this is an RP game.

Thanks.

Ahnk, the prmise of the Union is that the people who control the group (ie, the companies heads, leaders etc) knows that the Union exsists. The avergae everyday minion/employee/suicide bomber doesn't know that the Union exists.

Which means the Union is as "Flim-Flam" as each of its parts, in which I count 3 corporations, 2 criminal networks and a terrorist network.

Any of them could be an individual group on TRF, and you would never say they are flim flam.

You realise there is a way I could call you the Union without calling you the Union?

And how is that?

Also, by your silence, I am assuming you agree with the aforementioned points.

Kraken, they do have a point(s). If you are going to make jumps or leaps in logic, write out probable causes for such leaps. Don't just make them "know".

To be honest, I didn't remember Falleen was a part of the Union. I thought you were just doing a 5k planetary takeover.

On a side note that really doesn't affect much: Estro, unless I missed something, this statement is a little off: (italics mine).

The only people TNO have dealt with so far is the GLF, whose agents know nothing of the Union.

Of course, they may not know the actual name but there may be hints of something larger behind the scenes... or maybe all they have IS a name of mythic proportions within terrorist enclaves but no real hard evidence of its existence.

But, perhaps I am wrong and this is explained in a roleplay. If so, I missed it and would appreciate a link to it so I may read.

Thanks!
