Imperial Expansion OOC

I just have three things to say about this thread that you should probably know:

1) The motivation behind the thread is purely IC: Lorize rests in Imperial Space, literally cut off from civilization by the Border Forces. It is a world formerly belonging to the Empire (presumably, Moff Saarn once ruled it), and it is a world that the Empire was seeking to have surrendered as part of the Pax Imperium.

I do hope there are no hard feelings, and to help satisfy those, I have an idea in mind you may like, which leads me to...

2) If you are willing, I would be glad to offer assistance in taking another world to "replace" Lorize, and therefor not suffer the OOC penalties of losing a planet. This is entirely at your discretion, but I figure a number of citizens will take the Empire's offer to leave Lorize and settle somewhere else, with the aide and blessing of the New Order (as stated IC).

3) It is not primarily a fleet thread. It was written as a storyline thread, chronicaling the liberation of Lorize by the New Order by way of forcing their people to side with us or die. I don't want a fleet engagement, but obviously since I am (for all intents and purposes) doing a hositle takeover of a faction's planet, you're free to make it one. I hope you won't, because I do think the thread has a decent storyline to it...

Although a small, preplanned skirmish might be fun... maybe the GC tries to break the blockade, or something.

Cheers!

Drayson, in this thread, you reference to "Kothlis" space, when I believe you mean "Kathol" space.

Might save some confusion.

Well, as I've explained many times before, the Coalition is a... well... Coalition of independant nations. As such, Lorize is free to change alliegances as the people desire, so obviously barging in and asking them to give up their independance and join the Empire like that wouldn't immeadietly acquire the desired effect. If anything, it would probably hurt their cause.

Also, I wouldn't dream of requesting aide for a replacement world, as I consider it well within the right of factions to make war (or in this case, really aggressive diplomacy) with anyone they choose without having to make up for it later.

Finally, I do obviously intend to make a big deal over the blockade. Remember, Viren Quell is a resident Politican of the Coalition, and if anyone can piece together meaning and then rant in an angry and insightful manner its' him. As per my usual tactics, I won't actually engage, however, what you do with transports which come acrop of your blockade will be carefully monitored. If any just 'dissappear' or are abused in any way we will of course do something more drastic. For now, we'll just have to sit and think.

Imperial Expansion, two words that should never be heard together in the same sentance. Along with "TNO" and "New Members".

Honoghr? But then, they didn't really ask anything did they?

An example of your "usual tactics"?

Viren Quell - out to lunch.

I'm using him as an NPC. I obviously won't be writing from his perspective (not having a tenth the skill) but we can safely assume he's there, writing away.
