An Emperor runs an Empire.

An Emporer runs an Emporium.

These two things are not the same.

Also, I find it strange that Kraken has declared himself Emperor until such time as the crisis is over. Given his own wording and comprehension of the situation I find it strange he did not declare himself a steward, aka; Regent.
