Anyone?

It's been a long, long time since that thread's gotten moving, which is too bad considering how close it is to its' conclusion. Is there any update on the availability of the participants, or will the thread require concluding some alternative way?

Well, I've pretty much finished Skygge's part. Unless she needs to escape the planet, she's done in the thread.

Silk lingers for Lupercus and I believe Vance wanted to do some more.

Refer to my limited access post. Though it should be resolved in the next couple of days, fingers crossed.

I also want to get a last post up there.... just a couple more days guys and I'll have something. Maybe even less than that. Still, Ithron's really not too involved with the planetside plot, so you can safely ignore him if you want.

I ended the thread with my post (if only for me). If others feel the need to reply, feel free to do so.

Entirely satisfactory and workable. I am thankful for your participation in this thread and your patience in dealing with this matter.

Indeed, as we reach the end of the thread (I'm writing a post now to wrap up some Crusade stuff), I'd like to thank everyone who was involved, both for your contributions and for your willingness to participate. This was an aggressive attack, and there was definite conflict - both between the characters, and at times, between the players - but ultimately we all achieved something and the thread will surely be remembered as a marker in TRF's IC history for some time to come.

Much was lost and earned on all sides. The Crusade has suffered staggering losses to its' Force contingent, the Void Knights and Unspoken in particular, that will need considerable work to replace before anything resembling this attack could be mounted again. On the other hand, we earned recognition as a valid threat and contendor for the mantle of the Dark Side, and achieved many lesser objectives such as erasing Dacian's link to the Sith Order and damaged a rival that both Silk and Dacian believed were most likely to threaten their personal power.

The Sith, too, have both gained and lost in this thread. The loss in life amongst their minions and the loss of resources as embodied by the temple may weaken the order in the short term, but the Sith thrive on conflict and grow stronger when emotions like hate and anger run thick. Those who died were the weak, and those who lived were the strong who may be forged into a more pure and mighty Sith Order. Complacency will give way to war and politics, established order will change to battles for position and power. Many relationships and ranks may change due to the aftermath of this battle.

Ultimately though, it was a well-written thread, and though there were definetly some bumps and inconsistencies that cropped up along the way, it's as good as any multi-person combat thread could ever hope to be. Again, I thank you all for your participation and look forwards eagerly to the after-effects of this battle to play out in the battlegrounds.

The end, meted out by and for yourself, was spectacular. This, I find, was a side of Vance Jas, aka Darth Vicirus, that I had not-as-yet beheld and I enjoyed its manifestation dearly. Thank you, Paul.

However, (there is always a 'however') there remains a portion yet to be written which carries some weighty significance to myself and Lupercus and it is on him I am waiting for a post from. I know not when he intends to post, but knowing only that for his character, mine and indeed the Crusaders, it must be done before the thread reaches any total conclusion.

So, to Lupercus I ask: do you have any idea when you might post? Or, failing that and knowing that we have already determined the direction of those posts, would you like me to simply include Lupercus in my own all-encompassing closure?

I'll hold off posting the post I'm writing for Xa'Fel until the Silk/Lup situation is clarified. Just to be safe, the post has been written to leave the Silk/Lup situation open and uninvestigated by Dacian (assuming Silk doesn't die, and Lup doesn't do something super-spectacular that would call everyone's attention). For the most part I'm just writing the other Crusaders (Dacian and what's left of his bodyguard, the Maiden, the Crimson Wing and the Crimson Emperor) leaving the battlesite and then the system. Consider it a canned epilogue for when the circumstances call for it.
