Everyone cool it. Be nice.

"I've been in charge of the Republic for a long time and the Senators have known me for a long time. I'd think they would know how I act by now. "

So you mean to say that in the entire time you've run the republic, not a single senator has been voted out of office?

Also, Gue has a point on the senator thing. Think of all the back dealing and cross party deals that senators engage in to make sure the bill they want passed gets so? Senators typically have one goal in life, reelection.

Hence theres a whole lotta @#%$ they do to get the best for their constitutents.

"Just because we run a group of non-backstabbers doesn't mean we're stupid. It means we're efficient. "

Actually it doesn't. But on the same lines them being a republic typically makes them more efficient since free market economics dominates their society.

A few senators have. I think a couple did in a takeover I did once because they were selling information. I forget.

Anyways, Senators in the Tholatin Republic don't have to be reelected. They stay senators until the age of seventy when they are too old and unfit to serve. They've no reason to take out their actions on each other.

They were elected at one point. And when they are made to leave, there's another election on that planet. And when they are removed from office, there's an election.

But what if an electorate wants to change their senator?

Do they have to wait until he's freakin 70? Cause personally i'd just assassinate the guy to speed @#%$ up if that was the deal...

They do, but there's three senators to a planet. So if one of them disagrees, the other two will override.

So you have a senate of 12 people? Thats not a representation of the people. Well, at least IMO.
