Hello there Azumi. :)

Don't panic, it can be a bit overwhelming the first time.

The first suggestion is to read the rules and FAQ.

Which you can find here:

http://therebelfaction.com/forums/faq.php?

The second is to decide what exactly you would like to do...

Take a moment to have a look around, read some stories, look at some bios (in the biography forum) to get an idea of how characters are created.

You'll find most current and active roleplays are in the 'Battlegrounds forum' our main roleplaying forum, located here:

Do you wish to become a Jedi or Sith?

A Smuggler or pirate?

An Imperial Captain on the bridge of his own ship?

A new republican rebel?

If you wish to become a force user, (a Sith or Jedi, for example), apply to a Faction , join up become a member, you'll find experienced members will be happy to guide you through.

Lastly I would say, this is a community for writers, which means, the more effort you put into making your writing readable and engaging, the more respect you'll gain.

Simple things like spelling mistakes, or grammatical errors can ruin an otherwise enjoyable story, which is a shame since only a little forethought can produce great results.

After you have written something , before you post (or indeed after-whichever works for you), just read it through again, and you'll spot any mistakes that may have crept in.

Find a thesaurus, and a dictionary, they come in handy, or in this 21st century you can find both online easily enough, (there is even a link to a spellchecker on the left hand sidebar).

All said and done though, the whole aim of this is fun, its a game, and a way of meeting new people, enjoy it.

If you have any questions no matter how stupid sounding, feel free to ask away.

;)
