Hey guys. I've been pretty absent the last two weeks, what with exams and graduation and all those things, but I'm about to get a lot more absent for the next three weeks while in Europe. I'll be going to Spain, France, and England to catch up with relatives and travel around a bit.
The good news is that when I come back, I shall have the next chapter of Palestar complete along with a tonne of other writings. The bad news is that three weeks is a long time to let a thread go, and I just didn't have enough time to move forwards as many threads as I wanted. With that in mind, allow me to make the following propositions.
Eastern Exodus. Heir, you are invited to continue this without me. A while ago, some people offered to write a little to ease the transition with their own plots and contributions - if anyone feels like putting in their own input or plots, regardless of what those might be (yes, even the ones I disagreed with before), you are invited to do so. It's a fairly major event in the galaxy yet it's been sort of sealed off to posters. If anyone wants to do me the huge favour of continuing the evacuation, that'd be cool too. Basically it's open season on this thread while I'm away. At the least, Heir, you should get your next post in.
Generis. I think Harrison's going to get away. The planet is yours, though - heck, it's yours anyways, since in a few more hours the surrender would make it out that far. The ships, though, are beating a rapid retreat and unless you jump in enough ships to surround the planet they're probably going to escape. Go ahead and write a post about seizing the world - there isn't much besides some military outposts, if I recall, and they likely just surrender.
Naboo. I'm going to try and squeeze in one more post to get my NPCs out and maybe do a bit more with the queen. Zark's agreed most nobly to fight the evil Sith and be our Jedi on Naboo for this fight, and I wish him best of luck. Not much to say about this one.
Coalition of the Damned. This is one of the threads that slipped through the cracks for me because of all this grad stuff I've had to do recently. Suffice to say that you, Smarts, and you, Irtar, are both great writers and this is a most worthy thread. I only regret not getting to post in it before I go, so go ahead and continue without me. Since I can't contribute, I offer no rules about the direction you want to go with it. Do what you wish, and I shall adapt our future policies around your decisions.
Silk Road. It's your post, Irtar. This is really a collaborative effort, so if you just want to zap it to life once every week or two so that it's not completely buried when I'm back, I'd appreciate it.
I'll be back in three weeks to cap off the Visionary series (sadly prematurely ended) and give the Coalition a dignified 'retirement' of sorts (recognizing our status is no longer that of a superpower). Then...
Coming this summer, a new, more terrible Dolash shall emerge. Stay tuned for the rise of the Palestar Crusade. Let the galaxy burn!
