Ok, I taped the Battle-Star Galactica mini-series on space, and I finally made the connection.

The Caprician Regency is like Capricia Prime from Battle-star, and CoC is kinda like that too, because in the series a robotic race was trying to take over humanity, but left for forty years, and in the mini-series they return and invade, kinda like in CoC (I think, I havn't read most of CoC or seen most of Battle-Star.)

Anyways, its' pretty cool.

The planet in Battlestar Galactica is Caprica. When I was 18, a friend and I tried to write our own fantasy story/rp game we called Myths & Legends.

Nadakora was the continent where our "good faction" the "Kingdom" was ... and Capricia was the continent that attacked it.

I just took the old name I made and spun a new star wars/sci fi story around it.

I remembered going through some old SW planet database and found the name Caprica, a planet in the Sepan Sector.
This was after I started the group and CoC but I thought the find interesting.

I've always liked the Battlestar Galactica concept even if the show sucked... but I liked it as a kid and so have a nostalgia kind of feeling watching the new series. I was disappointed with the New Miniseries since I think I could have done better... still, I would watch the series if it was ever made into one..

It is, they made a four-hour mini-series set forty years after the show. It completely kicked-ass, with nukes, fighter-battles, CGI effects, it was everything the prequels of the Star Warses should have been.

The only thing it was missing was Jedi.

My uncle when he was a wee-one was one of the children in the original Battle Star Galactica...I should probably go watch those.
