Heh. Signed up there years ago thanks.
We should have some nationalism in our Land of Expensive Petrol ("Gasoline" - here it costs £1 a litre, give or take. That's what? $10 a gallon over the pond?)
English people take note
1 GBP = 1.93659 USD
I assume that's a joke... our gas used to be over 3$ a gallon and it's still mid 2s. =O
Forget not, friend shake, that you're converting between currencies and measuring systems. The British Pound is valued higher than the dollar, and a liter is somewhat smaller than a gallon.
IE £1 = $1.94
Well I didn't realize the liter thing but still... it's probably about equal. (and I bet ours was higher after the supposedly oil-pwning hurricane Katrina) It should be, too, since I'm guessing gasoline is more or less an international good.
In general, oil always been cheaper in North America than in Europe. Then again, a lot of costs in general are cheaper than in Europe...
no its not...
you get it for £1 which is $1.94, were getting it for over $2...

A few weeks ago prices were balanced at 2.10$ in my city. After a recent hike, they now sit balanced at around 2.55$. :(
I wouldn't be suprised if GB gets a break soon from OPEC since they plan to withdraw their troops from Iraq fairly soon. :)
