You talking about the audacity of anything I've posted is a laugh. You posted ridiculous damages and stood there and laughed - and then let the thread die because you refused to move on them. Clearly, you intended to let the thread die, and it would have unless I had circumvented your BS and posted.
So I did so - bite me.
You could hardly have posted "numerous times" even if you had wanted to: there were OOC issues stalling the RP, and if you had decided to post I would have taken the time to do something about it, be it a reply or a nice OOC post saying "WTF, mate?"
You clearly have no intention of playing fair, and while it might be all high and noble for me to say I'd do the same, it would also be stupid of me. If I agree to waive the 72 hour rule (which I said I would do assuming you had similarly honourable intentions) what's to stop you from stalling the thread another month or more?
The 72 hour rule is just that - a rule. It doesn't take audacity to use it, it means I'm complying with the rules. Your failure to reply is your problem, not mine. Deal with it.
As for the content of the posts... you're hardly one to talk. That being said, considering your lack of reply, the damages are completely within reason and reality.
Unless you have something other than whining to present, I will continue to pursue the 72 hour rule and finish the battle. It's your choice.
I respected that waiver. I let the post sit for 2 months, with my post being the last IC reply.
I PMed you at least once (and possibly twice) asking if you were going to continue to pursue the thread. You never replied.
I was not stalling. You were the one who had not posted. If you were waiting for me to take some action, you should have alerted me to that. I had made an IC reply, and asked admins to intercede. No one asked me to make any moves so I waited.
You are the person who rewrote my post (in you latest replies) to change what had already happened in the RP. Amazingly, my turbolaser batteries start hitting my own ships, just before you fire your own weapons.
Your ships magically move from "among" my vessels (which would create no majorimpairment to ground based fire) to "above" them(to justify your absurd claims of inaccuracy.)
It is my choice; my choice to to allow you to run roughshod over me simply because your Isstal.... Imperial and Fleeting "Genius". You are violating your own previous agreements concearning your thread (which I upheld) and are putting absurd posts with insane damages (assited by godmoding.)
You posted an unrealistic assessment of damages, completely ignoring the actions that had already happened, completely ignoring fair play, completely ignoring the capabilities of my fleet, and adamantly refusing to make any changes.
Instead, you simply chose to ignore both this thread and that one. Certainly I did not post, because I was waiting for you to make appropriate changes to your post. And then you have the audacity (I'm beginning to like that word) to bitch about me rewriting your post?
Of course I had to rewrite your post. You refused to do it - you'd rather see the thread die than do it, clearly. So I rewrote it keeping in mind the situation I had already established: that your surface guns were just as likely to hit your fleet as mine. That my fleet does indeed have antifighter and antimissile guns.
You posted damages that were, in essence, the same as destroying five ISDs in one (or four, if you use my previous arguments) post. And you refused to alter them at all. And then you let the thread die.
No, you failed to post because you knew your damages were ludicrous and would rather see the thread die. If it dies, you have nothing to worry about.
No shit? How many times have I logged into my Drayson account since then? It should be relatively clear that the account I use most constantly is this one - neither Trinity nor Drayson have a large number of OOC posts, whereas this one does. Drayson is easily my least used account.
So sure, you may have sent me a PM. But you clearly did not send it to this account. And maybe you didn't know - but I mean hell, it's fairily clear that this is my active acount.
Liar. I was clearly waiting for you to edit your damages - as this thread is more than capable of showing. You stopped posting here, and stopped posting in the RP. Clearly, you're either rediculously set in your damages, or you wanted the thread to die.
I'm not sure what you're getting at, but it hardly excuses you from cheating and then dancing on the thread's grave.
Two things: yes, I'm quite aware of that. As I said, tough. You let the thread sit inactive for two months, I'm making up for lost time. Deal with it.
I don't know where you get off whining about insane damages assisted by godmoding. If that's a trend in this thread, I'm sorry to say you began it. However, you have to consider when you say something like that that you didn't do anything. You failed to reply, so your fleet sat their and took damage. And if you'll note, both of my attacks make use of heavier weapons, designed quite simply to kill capital ships.
You can bitch and moan all you want. I really don't care. I'm going to continue taking advantadge of the 72-hour rule, as is my right under the rules. You can either let me, or you can reply.
Right now the 72 hour rule being waived is actually going to be upheld by the Staff.
The 72 hour rule was in place so no one took advantage of "taking all month" to reply. This was for fair play.
If groups wish to waive the 72 hour rule they may (if both sides agree). This too is in line with fair play.
It is not fair play when one asks for a waive of the rule, the other agrees, and then that one goes back and violates his own request enforcing the 72 hour rule.
If damages are being debated, then IC posts cannot be made. If both sides cannot come to an equitable agreement, the staff will step in and assign damages arbitrarily.
Remove the last post (where damages are still being debated), and come up with an agreement.
If you cannot, the staff will assign damages so the thread can continue.
